Aluminum Driveshaft?

    Well Steve, that confirms the opinion I've always had that Mark Williams is ridiculously overpriced.
    I got my aluminum shaft from Lukovich Racing in Michigan ten years ago and probably have 500 passes on it without so much as a cracked u-joint cap. I could have gotten a carbon fiber shaft from him at the time, but he told me unless I was going to race in Pro Stock, there's no point. :Do No:

    A 3" steel drive shaft that is 55" long is 19.3 pounds (not sure if that is stock or not)
    A Mark Williams aluminum 3.5" shaft is 12.14 pounds.
    A 4" aluminum shaft is 13.14 pounds.

    I might have a shaft behind the house I will check its weight.

    Just for the hell of it I checked mine. It's 4" in diameter, 48.5" long, and weighs 11 lbs.
