All Girl Garage actors are not too smart

I watch Full Custom Garage with Ian Roussel. The man makes things out of nothing and has what these other shows don't have. Skills. Granted,he swaps things out and modifies things, but the time constraints keep him from being real indepth, but the show is great. I also watch Wheeler Dealers as well. I usually last about 4-5 minutes on shows and then turn the channel. The people on the shows attitudes turn me off...To be honest, not one of the Foose,Kindig etc type wont ever touch my car. We have different ideas about things. If someone came and overhauled my Buick,I'd have to beat on them...Pulling my 464 motor, swapping it for an LS,putting some useless big amped stereo in and slamming it to the ground isn't my thing..

I would never want to let Ian Roussel anywhere near anything I owned, but the stuff he does is wild, I appreciate his skills and vision, and I love the tenor of the show. Wheeler Dealers is the only other car show I watch consistently, but more as background entertainment while working on my laptop.

When I was younger I used to watch the original Shade Tree Mechanic. Those guys explained things easily and, as a young fella, showed my how to do drum brakes, tips for simple tasks and give ideas on MX for daily driving.

My father taught me lots also, but he also used to yell about holding the flashlight wrong! Something I understand today!

Out of all of the automotive show hosts, I can get behind the frame off builds Stacey Davids does more than most, even though I'm not a fan of every modification he does. The Powerblock show builds are hit or miss, but at least it's all tech and zero unnecessary drama.

Watched a few episodes after Jessi Combs unfortunate death, and it seemed to go downhill.
    Haven’t watched since

That girl Bogi was enough for me to stop watching...Her laugh is almost as bad as the girl on Ridiculousness..

Bogi is one of the producers. I also saw her shooting some video at Carlisle auction in Lakeland Fl a few years ago.

I'm not a Mopar guy, but I've enjoyed some YouTube eposides of Graveyard Cars. I actually learnt something. Not that it's gonna be of any use to me!

Virtually any of the "Sunday Morning Serials" on MT can be annoying if you know your way around a car. Besides that, they turn into a 22 minute informercial with very little in the way of actual car work. The one that makes me rush to change the channel is "Sam's Garage." That's the most boring half hour on MT.
"Today, we're gonna put a sun visor in our 1985 Chevy pickup, Tom will tighten one bolt on the Never Ending 1955 Thunderbird Project, and I'll turn an idle screw on the 1970 Chevelle."
    Gimme a break...

This sounds silly but Bogi always wears that wide black leather band on her wrist..
All I can think of is bad her wrist might smell as it seems she never takes it off??

I know we’ve talked about Nicks Garage before, but he’s another drag it out, keep repeating the same thing, “ might be a head gasket, don’t know, possible head gasket, doesn’t matter, it’s the head gasket, didn’t know for sure till we pulled the head, it’s the head gasket, yep blown clear thru, see it’s the head gasket, here we go”

I like Wheeler Dealers back when Edd was on there. The new mechanic Elvis is pretty good too. It had gotten a little bit more dramatic after Edd left the show.
My favorite car show is far and away Graveyard Cars. Yes, Mark's antics get old but there's no crazy timelines, in fact I wonder why some let them take years to do a resto. Their work quality is top notch and I can appreciate their desire to get things factory correct, even if they are taking liberties with a car's equipment.

If you can deal with Marks antic's which "sometimes" is funny it is a great show with tons of great info that any car guy will love regardless of car preference. Probably my favorite one.
Yup no time lines and Mark will say a total resto will take years and even shows the same cars in the shop on episodes 2 years later.

Someone should do a all GM A body show because lets face it a all Buick show would run out of info fast:oops:
