The Portland Area Chapter of the Buick Club of America cordially invites all Buick owners and their Buicks to our annual All Buick Show.
Saturday August 17th.[/B] This year it is being held in downtown Troutdale, Oregon. This is about 10 miles east of the I-205 / I-84 junction.
Take the Troutdale exit and follow the Buick signs.
The city of Troutdale - a small suburb is closing off Main St. for the day and allowing Buick only parking.
A great venue with shops & restaurants and the Outlet Mall within walking distance.
Please see the attached registration form with early rates. Let me know if you have questions.

Hope to see many of you there! View attachment 2013 Reg Form.pdf

Main street Troutdale is a really cool location for a car show, with the entrance to the Columbia Gorge and all. Plenty other attractions for those that don't care about
    the Buicks that much.

I'm not able to show anything at this point, but I will be going out just to take a look at some nice cars since it is so close to home.

    Duke,

I see you have "modified" classes as well as classes by year/model. Are the year/model classes also open to modified cars or just stock cars?

Thinking about bringing my 69 convertible GS down, lowered with 17 inch wheels, what class do I enter? How do you guys determine if a car is in the modified class or not?

    Thanks, Chris

Thanks Briz. These local shows out here in the PacNW don't typically follow the National BCA/ROA rule book, but are more based on what the organizing chapter wants to do, which is why I am hoping for some clarification from Duke, as it can vary considerably.

Im also a member of the BCA Modified Division. When I joined BCA I specifically asked if I would be allowed to show my Riv. The answer was yes but only in a modified class as part of that division. That was an additional membership fee also.

Hope you do make it down. Should be a good show.

Camera is on the charger now. I will try to get some good shots.

    Chris
As far as what denotes a modified - Coddingtons & lowered = modified. Stock appearing cars in regular classes and modified cars in the Modified classes.
We will try to put cars in the class the owner picks unless it is obviously modified. A couple of years ago we had a car with primer and flames that was moved to modified.
This is a fun event and we don't want to cramp anyone's day but we try to be fair to all.
I go to any event for the fun and to see the cars and people - trophies and thus classes be damned!

Thanks Duke. Not certain now what I am going to bring, weather forecast here is for off and on showers through Friday night, although it looks to be nicer in Troutdale. I was also considering bringing the black convertible, but may just play it safe and bring a hardtop beater....

I wish I was smart enough to have purchased a V8buick baseball cap or t-shirt so that I could at least meet some of you folks and put names to faces. Oh well, look for me, I will be the fat guy without a workin buick but drooling over all the finished cars.
