I’m sure you did not intend to mislead. And I’m sure the mistakes the guy in the video made weren’t intentional either. I don’t think anyone was claiming you were being deceptive, we were just making corrections within this discussion and pointing out our own opinions and observations. It’s hard to place cars for sale and listen to negativity, a very thick skin is needed for sure. But also many of us have said what a beauty it is and I’m sure none of us would kick it out of our garage!
Fwiw, I thought it was/is a great car. Optioned (or not as the case may be) near perfectly, ordered orig. by a Buick engineer, an unusual (in a good way) color combo & sold @ a fair price given the quality of the resto, NOM, etc. Would be a fun to own. I wish the orig. thread hadn't been deleted. There was some good discussion there esp. re: factory manual steering. Auction has a reserve & closes in 5 hours. Currenlty sits @ $41.5k. We'll see what happens but I'd expect it'll sell if the reserve is reasonable wrt the orig. sale price/car's attributes. GLWA @rvlanger32 & sorry to hear about your health issues.
The inspection video pointed out the patches in the quarters and truck, and the rust pitting on the floors /frame. I looked back through the 264 photos but did not see any of the 1/4 and trunk Patches to know the extent of the repairs .The only resto photos I saw Were the frame and “fat mat “. Covering the floor. Did I overlook the before photos of the rust repairs ? Hope everything works out positive for you .
Thank you for your message. I am lucky to be alive, currently in remission, still undergoing chemotherapy. I had a cough, sought medical attention and blood was drawn on a Friday. Saturday morning we received a phone call from the doctor to go immediately to the hospital. In the ER a bone marrow biopsy was performed. The staff believed I had APL, Acute Promylocytic Leukemia. I was told you could be in remission in 30 days, good news. I asked, "what is the next step if I wasn't in remission?" With a serious look I was told, "you will be dead." Not what you want to hear. After 33 days in the hospital I was told I was in remission. Chemotherapy through January 2022. Rick
Glad to hear that! - Sometimes life comes at you quickly. Shame you have to sell the car. I see you've been a member on here for a long time (I don't see signatures on my phone) so I assume you had/have other Buicks. I'd love to have been in a position to buy this one when you did. Hope your reserve is met - @ $46k w/50 min. to go so maybe it already has been. Not sure how that site works but hopefully it indicates once the auction is over. GLWA!
I am working on a 65 Wildcat Custom Convertible. Auction ended, $51,000 highest bid, with 6.5% commission, $54,315
Hello, Wish I would have seen this on Friday and I would have provided a price, my reserve. Saturday I cosigned the Stage 1 at Gateway Classics of Scottsdale, actually a Phoenix address. The consignment period is 90 days.
