I can't recall who told me about this (may have been Wayne Roberts) but supposedly there was a white '70 Stage 1 special ordered when the GSX's 1st came out that had all the exclusive GSX parts/stripes etc. installed at the dealer - Apparently the customer figured/worked out w/the dealer that it was going to be cheaper to get a "GSX" that way. The car was ordered w/ whatever GSX standard equipment that could be gotten from the factory exc. someone (customer or dealer) screwed up and didn't order the chrome wheels (or gauges/clock if this is that same car). This car sure fits the description/timeframe, etc. It could've been the 679th GSX had the guy not tried to game the system.

We know of one (1) of these cars, it is a 1971 GSX that was dealer installed and it is a Blue car.

The owner supplied all his info to me, which included the dealership info, and the car was confirmed.

He was also invited and attended the BPG GSX reunion, and it was especially nice to have that car there as it was a unique car at the time.

Over the years I have heard of a 70 car that was done the same way, but the one I heard about never produced any dealership information and was a different color.

I have that car and can make you a deal on it! Actually the original owner of my GSX was Mr. Dyke Fagg (I'm not kidding).

The parents should be ashamed of themselves for giving that name to him. I worked with a salesman named Dick Bagg... He wanted to be called Dick and not Richard for some reason...true story.

He’s still alive today (he was 19 when he bought my GSX in 1970) and is 6’-6” tall and 320 lbs. He might not have had many people say too much about his name…at least not to his face.

protect-o-plate and old title to the car:

In North Georgia I had a customer named Major Horney. He lived in Cumming. (I saw his driver’s license). Also had a substitute teacher named Richard Head-asked us to call him Dick.

As a parent, why would you name your child anything close to these names? Sometimes your are born with a questionable last name but why make it worse by adding a first name that makes it a joke? very crewel.

Their was a dentist in the town I grew up with that had the last name Pain... Dr. Pain..

And yes, we always laughed when Dick Bag was coming to visit our company....:D

    Holy topic drift...:p
