    71 is not a comp to a 70.

Whatever money you lay out for a GSX today, even if you think your overpaying a little, the market will eventually catch up to you and surpass what you spent.

I remember when Eric Stoldt bought his original paint yellow stage 1 auto in 2001/2002...he told me what he spend and I thought he lost his mind. I thought he paid way more than the car was worth. Now, you couldn't get a car painted for what he paid.

Mark my words- Whatever you spend today is going to sound cheap in 5 years.

The only way you get more for that '70 is by sending it to Barrett Jackson or maybe Mecum.

Let them bang on the magic bongos and a drunk will spend another $20K or $30K for it...

As vocal as you were about the 70 GSX on BaT, you should be ashamed of yourself. The gold 71 GSX you linked is a well-known car around here. It was originally a 350 car, and perhaps even a re-body. Why didn't you go and tear it apart like you did the 70?

just for discussion sake, maybe we all should be rooting for these cars to sell a hell of alot cheaper. its guys that have disposable income like 60-200k to blow on these cars. we { myself included:oops:} ruin it for everybody when we just throw a big wad off money at something because WE WANT IT! alot of us cry man that gs,gsx,stg1, ect did not sell for "insert huge number" than when they sell to cheap we complain and cry, ohh man these buicks dont get the respect. no way in hell can the younger generation afford and experience a nice stg 1 or gsx nowadays:(

Why be ashamed, I said the '71 was in better shape - how do you get a negative from that? You would have to be blind or flat out lying to think otherwise...regardless of year, color, etc.

It's okay to disagree publicly, at least in our country.

When you shape your way of life around the idea that those who don't agree with you should be ignored, shunned, or burned at the stake; perhaps take a closer look at yourself and see if that is really a cape affixed to your neck...

Or regardless of the fact it isn't a 455 car, but rather a 350. Or regardless of the speculation it was a rebody? What exactly are you getting for 85k? A 350 GSX with zero docs and a scarlet letter. You can't even get docs for it like you can with a 70. I won't even get into all that's wrong with it like that shifter...
