    You're right 100%.
All the years I was searching for my 70 Buick GS, I got a bunch of lies and establishments.

I saw the car in person. It's not a bad car, needs alot of details attended to though.

As with any rare/valuable muscle car purchase, not only would I order the Wayne Roberts docs, but I would also verify that the car has a big block frame that is date code correct, and that the shell is a 70 shell with correct date codes. The cowl tag tells me there may be more to the story. Hopefully it was either removed and completely blasted before being repainted and reinstalled but the QQ location is still weird.

Update: Talked with the dealer in more detail. The car is on consignment from a flipper that bought it at an auction. NO documentation at all. No proof its a GSX or a stage 1 other than a questionable trim tag that appears to be re-stamped. Doesn't seems like the owner has any interest in getting Wayne Roberts or any proof of its GSX status.Hard Pass for me, unfortunately the search goes on. :(

I guess I would say if you're considering shelling out what is going to be 100k plus, is it worth the 150 bucks to get Wayne Roberts documentation yourself? You got the Vin, and its a drop in the bucket to me when considering this kind of purchase. If the seller/consigner isn't a Buick guy or gal, they may not understand what those documents are or mean. You're right to be suspicious, but how interested are you in the car?

Not worth it me considering the owner is unwilling to get any documentation after asking $125k. Its obvious he's hiding something.

If there are no docs, which are available, would be a hard pass. That trim tag has been messed with in my opinion. Typical dealer/flipper deal. Rebodied?? seen it done down south before, wished I would have gotten the info recorded then.

I keep looking at all the photos on the $125K GSX.

I would say this GSX is worth somewhere between $85 to $90K, MAX.

Just my opinion, this GSX is the elite of the Buick muscle cars. Asking $125K and it not being correct in all phases,
or "Restored perfectly" is not worth the Dealership price. For that price, this should be a "contours" Winner and it's NOT.

However, that said, I think it's a good looking GSX and the "restoration" appears to be very good but not "perfect".

Off frame? I can't tell by the photos.

Engine & Trans not original with the car (non-matching numbers car) - Deduction$$$.
There are parts underneath that has surface rust. -$$$
The trim tag doesn't look correct to me, but I'm not an expert.
    The paint looks very good.
Maybe it's just me, flat black almost looks too flat. Maybe it hasn't been waxed or it's the photo. I don't know, just doesn't look right to me.
Most but NOT all of the exterior body panels fit good; gaps are good.
With the exception of the fenders around the headlights, this always seems to be very difficult to get the gaps closer together.
Rear spoiler looks good and fits the angle of the trunk line. Can't see enough of the chin spoiler to make an opinion.
Hood tach does fit flat on the hood.
    The interior looks very good.
The engine has some rust and should have been detailed/re-painted. Engine compartment is clean.
Should have bought new air cleaner foam inserts.
Brake master cylinder should have been painted.
