    Maybe they had difficulty getting the Goodyear G60 tires? We may never know the real reason.

    It would be interesting to see if the early cars on the Stage 1 registry are documented as having left the factory with F4/F7 by a window sticker or build sheet showing it had the option when it rooled off the line. Or did the person submitting the car to the registry give information for how the car is equipped today rather than how it was built. I'll send Brad a message asking about his car. In the early engineering photos his car it was shown with Firestone Wide Ovals and not Goodyear Polyglas tires.
