Hey cool cats and kittens, converting my auto column shift cat to floor shift, so I am in need of a floor shift steering column.....has to be for big car. Thanks Gordon
Brian, I am certain it will fit, I can’t find it in my Hollander book but 69/70 should interchange. If you want to part with it shoot me a pm, thanks for responding, Gord
I have it completely apart to restore. At the time,I think I needed a few pieces for one of my other tilts, but I replenished my inventory since. I’ll get back with you.
I will post some pictures of the lower area with linkage arm. Make sure it matches yours. This came from a 70. It should be the same.
Here are some pictures of the lower column. I think this black boot came from this and if so,I would need one for this,as this one is brittle and falling apart. I also need to know which one of these black horseshoe brackets is correct for the big car. They are NOT A-body,so one of them came from this.
I would like to put the lower boot on before I assemble the column. I am trying to source one locally.
Yours is definitely different at the bottom. The linkage lever does not have the offset like mine. I will try and get some more pictures to compared, along with measurements. I might have to create one. I’m always up for a challenge.
ok, i looked at and attached a pic from my floor shift cat, unfortunately I can’t make out what the lever looks like and the car is in Arizona. I will check my manual to see if it shows the part
That was last winter, damn, I wasn’t concerned about steering more brake and fuel line routings. That car is in Phoenix and I am in Canada unfortunately, I even shot video and missed it, Will check my manual
I got another full-size tilt today, and the lower lever is a lot more like yours, but this boot is split too. I can supply you a complete tilt, but is there a source for the rubber boot? It needs to go on during column assembly.
