Thanks Patrick - I have work to do on the driver's quarter then we can paint that and the truck the same green mist poly, or whatever it's called. Not a show car, just a nice driver.

My grandmother bought it in 1969. Gave it to me before she passed.

This 68 found me on the $@ceB00k. No need for another project, but super oddball 3 pedal cars are kinda no brainer territory.
Picked up in Arkansas, had Tennessee plates.
    Aqua/white buckets, white top.
GS 400 3-speed manual - floor shift with console.
    No power steering or brakes.
Full on resto now fast tracking it.
    As advertised:

    Dig that shifter....console

Now home and just prior to deconstruction- Top works, engine turned over with starter, lights worked (mostly)

I had a 3-speed ball ready...I know, it should be unmarked.

Looks way better than it really is! coming apart and finding the most random fasteners! Looks like the
hardwre store bolt was too long so they used a bolt as a washer :)
Then hooked up the line from the ww wiper pump to the carb. Cool.
At least the carb checks out as proper ## for a manual 68 400.

Our 1968 Riviera in Aqua Mist turquoise PNT code "K"
We call her "The Aqua Zephyr" because she looks like a turquoise breeze as she rolls down the road!

Sorry Ted. The trained mechanic in me won't let this slide, lol.

Technically, in all likelihood, that is a nut used as a spacer. :D

Good one - I think we can be pretty sure they didn't use a torque wrench there either.

Brian- the fastener selection was intriguing throughout the vehicle! I think the best was the 5/16 bolts utilized for the motor mount.
The 3" long sheet metal screw holding the bucket seat bracket to the floor was nice...also the inside door and window cranks superglued on...no clips needed :)
Oh yeah, this was interesting as well- ww wiper to pcv port on carb!
