Nah, most of that will buff right out.

It is difficult to buff out a hole.

That was probably a tongue in cheek remark.

Yessiree, that there is a project alright. I'm just glad it's not my project. Looks like a parts car to me. It's a shame that it wound up in that condition. :spank:

I like your attitude Rich. You and my dad are cut from the same cloth for sure as he is never afraid of rust but he does keep current on his tetanus shot. :)

For every bit of rust that you can see, there's usually even more that can't bee seen in the hidden places.

I really like this odd-ball '67. According to the body tag the car was A-4 191 which is actually black paint not midnight blue as the seller states, along with a blue convertible top, and blue bucket seat interior. That's got to be very rare and combined with the transmission would almost certainly make it 1-of-1. It's also a low option car. On the trim tag the only Fisher body accessory code is 2B which is 3-speed manual transmission without a center console.

But rare (1 of 9 made with 3-speed manual) doesn't always mean desirable or valuable. For my taste I would much rather have the more common 4-speed or even the automatic transmission.

I hope this car gets saved but I doubt he can find someone willing to pay $7,500 for this core.

Keith unless you can do a lot of the restoration yourself it will cost you A LOT of $$ to make her right. She needs a lot...

I dig it. My 4-sp wildcat may have been "worse", but it had to be done :Brow:

Yes they are the same. To keep from running parallel threads on the same car, we will merge the two threads into one thread.

He mentioned that there were 7 in that color combination. I was told a number of years ago, there were only 7 3 Spd GS 400 Convertibles built.
1 was in Dumas TX, (Parts Car) George P. had 1 that came from TX in NY. (had trans changed to a 4 spd) and this would have been the 3rd.
    Any verification on the #S.
Yes, I have parted out ones in better shape a well.

The late Larry Miller well, know in the GSCA, bought one new when he got out of engineering school. I know it was a GS 400 67 3 speed, but I cannot be sure it was a convert. I suspect Karen still has the car. I remember it as having a green exterior.

I know of 2 more in this area. My friend Brian has one but it is in many pieces, and cut up, saving all the parts. My other friend as a nice one, up in SD, unrestored but nice.
