Been taking to this guy since this morning, he sent me plenty of pics of the block but non of the X. I am starting to wonder if it is the real deal.

Yea, I know. But it was worth checking out. he was pretty detailed in his description of what a 4-bolt has.

I deleted my post of what happened to protect the guy that looked at it for me...

Just a regular 455...no X in the mold or anything

 

so where were the 4 bolt cap pictures from then? or did he ever show them???

Well, there were only supposed to be two....one's in the Blackhawk, and the other is known to all of us. Now there is the GSX Stage2 that supposedly threw a rod and burned up...Dan

 

I've seen a four bolt main cap conversion here at V8Buick done by TA. If it had been one of these, the seller should have had no problem disclosing all facts.

Hi Guy, hope all is well. Has something new surfaced with the 4 bolt blocks? There is the one here but I thought there was only two made and the second one is sitting on the bottom of a lake. Chris
