It does have the wrong shifter ball Dan;). IIRC when the car was sold several years ago the PO said on here that it was his personal preference to have that one.

Back when it was sold originally, IIRC the PO sold two '70 Stage 1 4-sp convertibles at the same auction and one of them had a factory mistake in the VIN engine stamping but can't remember if it was this or the the other one. One digit was either wrong or missing.

Dan, great job on the restoration, I just said the car had a few issues. I did not call out specifically in my original post until you asked the question sorry if I touched a nerve but I’ve had my car picked a part in its own garage minding its own business. And everything that was told to me I already knew because I know the total history of my car.

to have 3 stage one convertibles at the same auction, just wondering if any hardtops will make the list

I identify as the new owner of that Zone Car
    and someone who will be
parking it between my 70 10-10 4 speed stage 1 and 72 stratomist blue loaded auto with white interior and white vinyl top.

In this new world of ‘I identify as…therefore I am!’, I declare that I, too identify as the owner of this car (despite having no genetic basis for it). I’ll need your address so I can come use what I identify as mine. To deny me this is discrimination and dysphoria shaming, so…see you in warm weather?

Pretty crazy that out of less than 50 vehicles that 4 of 'em would be Stage 1 convertibles. Seems you wouldn't want to saturate one auction w/so many & that it would dilute the prices but after what we saw at Mecum, who knows.

    I love Seamist green.

As an aside, I did notice the radiator isn't correct.

A couple years ago, that wouldn't have been a big deal but now that a re-core is upwards of $600 - if you can even find the correct tanks - it kinda is.

I suppose if you can afford the hammer price, a few hundred bucks more isn't gonna matter.

I would think it would devalue all at same auction but I'm know expert. I guess we'll see. My 70 must be the black sheep with black interior. I feel like you can't throw a GN :) in any direction without hitting a Convertible Stage 1.

Especially on an A/C Stage 1 or GSX.

I notice that the white car has molding on the trunk lid in some pictures and no trim in other pictures.

I am a BOP guy, I have Pontiacs and Oldsmobile, looking for my buick, the Oldsmobiles up for grabs are stellar and the Pontiacs are exceptional. Some serious quality cars at this auction

Love that Azure blue. I like either blue cars, or orange ones. I had an orange Chevelle and if I painted it, my goal was Carolina blue, which is kind of similar. Was an SCO color in 69.

Is that black one Jim Lore's car? Didn't he have a triple black Stage 1 'Vert?
