I checked pics of some other 66 Wildcat GS's and those seats are correct. I believe these cars are the real deal.

That's because they have the optional headrests on them. Where's Wild Bill?? He needs to know about these cars.

He's had them advertised for sale for a couple of years. Also had some '65 Skylark GS's.

I considered them several years ago, but when I mapped out where he is it was to much of a trip. Would need to go 3 times for the cars. When I was considering it he had them listed as a package deal.

He is local to me. I keep meaning to go look. They have been for sale for around 5 yrs. The pictueres have been updated recently and they are getting worse. I did drive by and see them from the road. They are sitting in his driveway..

I just spoke to Bill and he's a really nice guy . He has a load of other parts mostly for 66 gs's wildcats (his favorite car) and I inquired about finding me the floor shift linkages I need to convert to buckets and console and he said he has a uhaul full of parts and will look for me when the weather is nicer. I didn't enquire much about the GS's, but he's easy to talk to. I think he realizes that he will never get to restoring the cars and would like someone to bring them back. If they really sell north of $50,000. restored, they could be one of the few Wildcats worth more than the cost of restoration.

If only I lived in the US...There you go fellas, a whole bleedin' Wildcat GS collection with parts. It doesn't get any better than that if you are serious about doing one. This is the Holy Grail I would have killed for if I was 20 years younger and had the money and time to score up the shipping and had the storage space.
I truly hope one of the younger guys on this board goes and makes the deal of a lifetime here.

If one were loaded would make a great pair to have sitting side by side, one a custom with bucket seats and one a standard with bench

Very familiar with the `66 Wcat GS cars and this seller/cars. He has had these cars for many years. At some point he had a GS convert, NOM, which was supposedly one of the 21 MZ cars and was an SCO paint car in Sunfire Yellow which if my recall is correct was a Chevrolet color. Wonder where that car is now?
These Wcat GS cars are the Buick equivalent of the Pontiac 2 + 2 cars, mid size model (although the Wcat was actually longer than the LeSabre, not sure regarding the 2 + 2 as compared to the Catalina?) with the big engine option as standard equipment. The Pontiac cars had a little deeper offering into performance with the available 4 speed, multiple carbs which actually made it into prolific production, etc.. Production of the Wcat GS cars is low but they seem to have survived at a rate which is much higher than is typical.
The issue with these cars is the same issue which applies to collector cars needing complete restoration which are eventually valued far, far short of restoration cost. It`s hard to justify spending $100K to restore a $50K car. I understand the value of passion for the marque and to see a phoenix rise from the ashes, but this model is a perfect case for finding the best well kept car one can, doing some restoration to enjoy the satisfaction of restoration and maintaining a reasonable financial investment.
I do think, in this particular instance, the extra parts bring the financial aspect of this deal into a more reasonable status but the seller seems to want to piece meal his holdings so not sure if even that aspect of the deal would prove true? Cool cars...

A Wildcat GS might be the equivalent to a 2+2 as far as being the brands full size car with highest perfornance but that’s about it. I doubt many Buick buyers stopped by the Pontiac dealer. Except for the year 1966, the 2+2 was an option on the Catalina, it went back to being an option in 67 and then was gone. The Wildcat was not an option on the LeSabre.

The cost of restiration is the same old story, if you go to a national meet of 500 cars only a smalk fraction if them are worth more than the cost to get tgem to that point.

The full size muscle market has been wakening as the regular muscle car markwt is pricing the cars out of normal peoples grasp, and in time I beluevexwe will see steady value growth on cars life the Wildcat, we have already seen growrh there.

These cars need to be saved!!
Just seeing how hard it is on this forum to find a posi rear for them makes this a good deal..

I tried several times, over a four year period, for a "package deal" Bill would not move on any of his prices, and would never get back to me for specific answers to my questions. I was ready to pull the string last year on the red one, I asked him three times for the trans code and always got the answer that he would check, and asked at least four times for the matching engine rebuild information, crickets. Finally I just stop calling. Possibly a better man then me can get a deal out of him, Lord knows I could not.

Noticed the pics are apparently from 2008?? That was a decade ago....I checked location of the cars and it looks like it could possibly be mountainous? Might be tough towing the cars and parts out of there!

OK V-8 Buick People: I too am familiar with these rusted heaps. The seller? Can't cut loose and that's why the price is lousy. He's gonna have them for a very long time to come too. It would be most respectful of others to price them to sell instead of jacking every body around. Actually, if he were to take a day or so to knock the hair off of them and take some current and decent looking pictures and put them on the ebay at no reserve.....not only would they sell but he'd get all the money!
