Any chance you could post some real close up pics of the vinyl top? A buddy of mine has a '73 and he's unsure of how the top should look. He needs pics of the roof itself, and how it goes down the A pillar. Much appreciated!
Just a white painted top on my car Dean, sorry. Offers anyone? I'm looking to upgrade my wifes car or my truck plus it would be nice to have garage space this winter and the car just sits most of the time. Kind of a toy that hardly gets played with anymore. Easily have 5500 into it. It doesn't have to sell but it'd be nice to have some room to work inside when its snowing...burrrr Make a cool GS clone but i kinda like a sleeper Century.
Van is thinking on it and Tom (onenadrag) is next in line. Some more pics will be added. Also any questions feel free to ask. PM me with your interest and we can talk over the phone as i type way too slow!!
Tim, Many thanks, for all the pictures you sent. I will have to pass my place in line to (Onenadrag) Good luck with the sale!
Some of the above pics are of the "bondo'd" areas on the right side of the car. Again, just shoddy body work. You won't be welding in metal or patches to this car to cover rusted areas. It really needs striped, straightened and repainted. It depends on how perfect you want it to be. There's more filler than was even needed to cover the small crease along the passenger door. The r/f fender is an OEM GM replacement and the hood was definetly off a blue car that had previous hail damage hence the bondo to smooth out the hood in spots. These next pics also show where the left rear frame support bottom weld was broke by someone pulling the car in the wrong spot. Once the bumper is pulled off it can be bent back and rewelded. Also some more of the interior.
Waiting to hear from Tom yet. Next in line is 73GS464 (Steve) On a side note: After driving back from a car show this weekend i heard ticking when i pulled into the garage. After listening and feeling around i found a very small corner of gasket on the L/S manifold blowing out exhaust. I checked the bolts and found that some were loose. My own fault as i used the T/A Performance gaskets supplied and the last time i torqued them down was on a stand just before the engine was installed a couple years ago. I tightened them all down but regardless the gasket still needs replaced. Not a big deal but still an FYI. Oh, and the tires have a little less tread :3gears:
