I'm putting my 73' Century up for sale. I'm in no real hurry to sell it as part of me really doesn't want to but to the right individual it could go. I had it shipped up from Colorado literally "sight unseen" about four years ago with around 78K original miles. It now has a little over 82K. I feel its a VERY clean car, at least by my "Ohio" rust belt standards, but it does have some body filler. Not because of rust but because of poor body work to mask dents that were not taken out completely after a few previous owner accidents. I did pull the build sheet off the top of the gas tank intact after I saw the corner of it hanging down and the other build sheet was and is still behind the upper right side door panel. I also have the original dealers sales / price sheet when and to whom it was sold. Not only the first time but the second time off the same dealer as well. It originally came with a 350-4 /th350 and 3.08 open rear diff. However in the pursuit of more power it now sports a stock 1970 SF block 455 backed to the stock TH350 with a slight stall and mild shift improver kit, stock driveshaft and the 8.5 rear now runs a 3.42 limited slip. Good for mid-low 14's in the low 90's. I do have the set up for a TH 400 as far as the gas pedal kick-down and wires in the car go but the TH350 works fine so its just there. Only thing needed would be the crossmember and drive shaft. As the original 350-4 engine, rebuilt 77' TH400 with yoke, GS air cleaner in need of some repair and also some misc 73' parts go in the sale. The interior is decent but has its flaws, such as things like the driver side seat is torn and the top parts of the door panels are looking kinda funky and other very small stuff. The R-12 A/C works great but recently the fan has been only working on HIGH so the resistor has probably gone bad. The car has new springs and shocks, a rear sway bar added and newer brakes. Also 2 1/2 mandrel bent Torque Tech exhaust and B4B intake. Well I feel like I'm writing a book so I'll try to put up some picks if they're small enough and if not I'll e-mail them to you and if you're interested let me know. I'm not on here alot anymore as life's been busier so I'll get with the serious inquires in the order they reply. If you just want to chat or comment about the car just PM me as not to confuse me between potential buyers and just sayin "Hey" Asking price is $5000 and I'm located in Amherst Ohio 44001. Thanks, Tim
Tim I bought that sf engine from you awhile back. Thanks by the way.Are you still rebuilding the rear ends? scott
YES! Good to here from you Scott. I understand you were trying to get ahold of me through Matt Cser. He left your ph# with my daughter who proceeded to "forget" to give it to me. Kids, go figure! So I apologize to you for that. It was presumed tossed with other papers on our counter. Do you still need a diff. rebuilt? I'm not on here much but let me know if you do. I check in when I can. Catch ya later, Tim
Kurt replied and PM'd me for first look this Sunday. I'll be getting with him to see if we can meet then.
Kurt has passed on my 73' but if anyone has a nice G-body I believe he's still looking. So, $4800 cash will take it, which is a grand more than a nearby 73' Stage and two grand less than the 73' Century wagon on e-bay :Brow:
If you still have it in spring we will talk, would you trade for a 17 year old daughter, a 40 somthing wife and $4850 cash
