Not something you see come up for sale often. 350 col. shift car & green. $35k is probably (quite) a bit too much considering what it would take to redo the car compared to the value when done but if I had the cash/space/time, I'd probably consider it knowing going in that I'd be upside down on it in the end. I'd have to sell my running/driving '70 Stage 1 4-sp & even if I did, the last thing I need is yet another rare 350 car in boxes, lol. Already have 2 (one of 599 '71 convertible & 1 of 844 '70 350 4-sp).
In 72 they changed a bunch of colors. It might not be the same but it sure looks close. Sloan would have all the documentation on this car, and it would show all the options, including wether it came with a driver side chrome mirror or sport mirrors. Is the vin number listed for this car? Duane

The hood tach was optional on a '72 GSX, so did he post something showing that it had that option originally?
No VIN that I saw Duane, but did have a pictorial guide on jump starting a bad gas tank. No tach here Gary,unless hood was replaced. Now I know what a hack job is though : O
I remember when this was on eBay long, long ago. I passed on it then even when it was a fraction of the current price.
It's rough & even @ ½ the current price it'd be a stretch & labor of love (i.e. way upside down) but definitely a unique piece. '71-2 350 GSX's just don't command really big $ & never will. That said, I'd love to have the car. I'd also much rather have it after someone else does the resto, lol.
If I had the vin I might be able to determine the options it came with. I might still be able to do it but would have to check. Is the body number listed anywhere? I might be able to reference that. (Maybe off the I’d plate on the firewall.) I have some 72 X info. Duane
Yes, the tach was an option, just strange seeing a X without one!! The hood on the car is a Skylark hood, but the GS one pictured didn't have the hole cut out......
Saw that too,no vin or Sloan pictures and doesn’t care if he sells it. Sounds like a righteous dude. I have two of my finest 71-72 GSX Experts currently in route to sniff things out though!
