The hood tach I added along with the 24 hour clock. The am radio was sent off and converted to new fm electronics and aux added . Why you see the wires hanging by the 8 track. Only one convertible I was told ever lift tge factory with a hood tach. I will post pictures of this car later this evening . When I got it had black interior and top. Only thing I didn't redo was the body. Wet sanded and buffed it. I replaced the trunk pan. The car was a very nice solid car. Sloan documented and a buildsheet I found on the tank. The window sticker was a repo from board member here. I also rechromed dash and reset the odometer when restored. Mileage on odometer was miles driven since restoration .
Yes the car was a very nice car . I actually got it in 2006 so longer ago then I thought. Someone got a great car for the money. That was my 1st Buick convertible out of 5. If I didn't have the one now, I would have bought it back. It's held up well with few changes and was a very solid matching numbers car. At least I get some satisfaction knowing that others are enjoying the cars I restored. Also keeping these historic cars on the road. Feels good to see it still out there in good condition. That offsets the stupidity of selling them after all that work lol.
Texas Guy posted again today. Anyone down that way? Seems like a scam with still no pictures. 1972 Buick GS 455 Convertible (craigslist.org)
