John, If you upload the videos to YouTube, you can post a link to this thread. Great car, by the way! Good luck with the sale.
^^^^^Yes, I would rather have a car without AC. I spent a lot of money putting AC in a car only to roll down the windows when I drive it. What a waste!
Hey all! so I am going to post all the codes I can get on the motor and engine components to provide verification of it being a stage 1 car. I have owned this car for 25 years and it has been awhile since I went through the verification process. So I will get and post everything that I can thanks! I should have done this sooner! I want this to go to an awesome home! john
Hey all, so i whipped out my book on build codes for GM cars and went onto the stage 1 registry web site ( my car is registered on there also) and verified the codes on the engine parts. The heads are 1971 stage 1 heads, the exhaust manifolds are very hard to find the code on, the motor has the TS code and VIN stamped in the block and has a partial build date on it ( it seems to be possibly November 25th-- this would fit with a December 1970 build date for the car), the distributor is a 1971 stage 1 distributor ( i also have another date code correct one that i picked up years ago and had redone. the original is in the car and the date code is very hard to read), the carb is a 1971 stage 1 carb, the clock has been refurbished and pictures below. I have included all the pics of the above codes below. john
Hi all! Wanted to give an update. I had someone going to look at the car but they backed out. So going to drop the price to $50,000. $60,000 seemed to be aggressive.
Hey All! i have been digging and exploring the car to get all the date codes. all the wheels are GS wheels. they all have the WP stamped in on them ! the exhaust manifolds are also 1971 455 manifolds the codes for the right are 1238094 and a julian date of 119. the right is hard to read a partial number is 1233------ and a julian date of 113. the side mirrors are also 11 DTM 0 which should be november of 1970. and this goes perfectly with the december 1970 build date of the car. hoping to get more interest on the site for the car. I have axle code question in the "Bench" section. thanks! john
Sorry to potentially be the bearer of bad news: https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/what-is-the-correct-wheel-code-71-gs.234509/
Like I stated in the other thread 71-72 15x7 rims are “WM”. If you follow the link to the other thread I even put the file on there for the correct chart. Duane
