OK, here we go. Thinking of selling my '70 Stage 1. I have owned it for about 4 years. It is a numbers matching car.
    no a/c, p/w, or p/l
    3:64 posi
black on black. originally bronze on black.
    buckets
    tach
    tilt
I went through the car when I first got it. New bodywork and paint. Someone before me put quarter skins on it and didn't do a very good job. But they are straight as well as the rest of the car. The fenders are NOS. I replaced one door with a rust free one I had. Bumper are rechromed and new this year.
It had a 72 interior when I got it so I replaced all with the correct '70. New front seats and door panels, I had the rest.
The motor is the original SS. It currently has an 850 Demon TA SP1, MSD 6AL and dist., roller rockers, TA 296-08HL cam(.540 intake w296 and .520 exhaust w308). HPC coated headers and HPC coated 2.5 exhaust off of Richard's Ol' Blue. Electric fan.
Wheels are new 15x8 with 235s on the front and 295 drag radials in the rear. Suspension is stock and original. It does have 90/10 shocks in the front and could use some air shocks in the rear to give it about an inch of lift. The tires will rub a little with someone in the back.
I have all the original stuff for the car except for the carb. I do have the dist, intake, valve covers etc. I am missing two of the original wheels as well. They went with a 72 Stage 1 I had. I was supposed to get them back but never did.
I will post a few pics and hope to put more up at my website. www.paintworksunlimited.com
I would like to get $30k for it. Then I can finish building my 60 Lesabre Radical custom. Would also consider trades and $$$. Preferably another Stage car or 4-speed in need of some work.

I have ridden in this car...it's a gorgeous, straight and downright SCARY beast! If I didn't have 10 other projects happening right now I'd be all over it.

Well I actually need to sell this car now. Kind of sucks. I will be posting more info and pics soon on my website. And, if no real interest here soon, on eVilbay it goes.

Feel free to give me a call with any questions. I can also tell you why I am selling it and why I need to sue PPG paint. :af:

I have recently found out that the VIN on the trani doesn't match. Not sure why. When I bought the car I saw the 70-BB on the tag and didn't look much further. I know sometimes things get screwed up in the factory and they grab the next part. (this was the case on a friends car) but, the VIN on the trani is quite a few digits off than the car. I know the previous owner wouldn't have gone through the trouble of finding another 70-BB trani if he was to replace it.
Just want to be clear on this.

I think it looks right its just that the silkscreened part of the tag which usually says hydramatic is gone, either someone pressure washed it or they used some kind of desreaser or brake clean and that takes the silscreened part right off its happend to me before on a previous car, just my 2 cents.

    Thanks

Trans VIN tag looks exactly like mine but, like George said, it appears that the painted B-B (pinkish or yellowish color) got washed off somehow. Besides, Sean is the last guy who would BS you about something as serious as a Buick. Besides, his business reputation is too valuable to risk by not telling all he knows up front, which he has done. This is a very, very nice car. Whoever buys it will not be disappointed.
    Thanks
    Pat
