70 4-Speed John provides a very honest description of the car here and he's correct it's better than money in the bank. If I didn't have as many cars as I do at this moment his would be mine without hesitation and I'm picky (just ask my wife)! Happy Thanksgiving everyone & God Bless America! :3gears:
Thanks guys! :TU: Bill, wasn't going for the sleeper look as such, the "caps" are correct for this car, "F4" wheels.
I met John and saw and heard this car at BPG show in Salem this past August . John is a great guy and so is this GS. Anyone would be lucky to own this Rare GS Stage 1 4 speed car that also has the rare F4 /WD1 wheel and tire option(15 x7 plain steel wheels with dog dish cap, trim ring and Billboard G60-15 RWL Goodyear Polyglas tire). John, good luck selling this car.
Doesn't anybody buy these cars to DRIVE & ENJOY anymore, or does everybody just want them to make $$$ on? ou:
Problem is that People see a car go through a "Mega Auction" and feel that is what every car of that type should be. WRONG! Met someone this weekend with a "Supposedly Stage1" trying to impress me with Photos etc. of the "Beast". Just so happens car has gone through 3 hands in the past 4 Years, with each Seller doing something to make an additional Profit. (I had to walk away before I started to Laugh at the Guy.) I know John's Car, and it is being represented in a TRUELY HONEST Manner. The Quality of it IS as discribed, and the Points he makes are Valid. No, this isn't the $6M 1 of None, but a Documented car that has gone through what it was intended to be used for. There may be some scars, BUT You could use the word "Patina" instead, to add to the value. JR
I will be guilty of driving mine untill I am physically (or mentally) unable to do so. :Smarty: It was good to meet you in Salem John - nice car :beer Signed, another owner of an original F4 GS
John, I haven't been able to check the info you sent yet, but I'll go on-record to say that if I were able to swing a deal this car would be (with some elbow grease and $ of course) at PSMCDR 07 and every following year for a long time to come! :3gears: Hopefully I can get to it tonight.
Corn John i really like the "Field of Dreams" corn back drop.....i can just imagin the long stream of headlights coming to your house,,,and maby the the late Micky Thompson will misteriously appear out of the field of corn......I am surprise it is not sold....quite a nice price for a car like yours. Hope your Thanksgiving was great...see ya later. :bglasses:
Stage 1 I like the front plate! Nice car. I am into/ over my head with my 72 Stage 1 convt. restoration. Mine is a 4-speed matching #, 3 year love affair/ money pit. I cannot wait. Upstaged in Michigan.
Good Luck Hope all goes well....sorry it wont go to a good Buick home. Maby the new owner will take the car out once and a while!
