Hi, is there any differens between the frame for a GS and Skylark 2d/ht 1970?? When I look in my BUICK Master part book, they share frame. But when I look in the Chassiemanual, they have different codes. I have never been able to find a code on a Buickframe and I know where it should be.
Can anybody help me with this?????:

Try on the inside where it goes over the drivers rear wheel.

Thanks, but do you know if there is anything but the code that is different?

    Thanks Jim,
It would be strange if there is a different, because the master part book says its the same for all A-body 2d/ht 1969-1970, but not for the 1971.
We will see if there is anyone who has another opinion???????

They do have different part numbers. The code Jim is talking about is a sticker that is probably long gone. The actual part number is stamped way at the rear of the frame on the drivers side. It is on the side of the frame behind the rear wheel not far from the rear cross piece by the rear bumper. You may be able to find it with some cleaner and sandpaper and flashlight. There is also a date code here. I will try and post part #s and a picture of one later. I would bet the only difference was that when assembled maybe they added the big block motor pads.

I can see in the shassiemanual that they have different codes, but as a sparepart, they maybe be the same frame????Please send a pict if you can....

I have a 1970 stage 1 parts car that I will be trying to get rid of, it has a good complete frame, I will look for the part # and see if I can get a picture, probably take some cleaning to find though.
