This might be the best Craigslist ad I've ever seen.

Nice car. Not a "survivor" though.

A 'lil yes, but I go back to a previous post I made recently, and as always with the caveat that IF the ad IS as states, on the premium that an original sheetmetal rust free car should command. How many rust-free '69's do we see vs. basket cases? This car appears driveable/enjoyable from day 1 vs. fixing rust & restoring a $5k '69 Stage 1. What's that worth? We're not getting any younger. I'd happily "overpay" a little bit for this car if it checked out to be as represented.

    No doubt!

I should've made clearer that not only can one enjoy this car now, but what's it cost in sheetmetal work to go from a rusty car to just getting the sheetmetal work finished? Then beyond that to the interior, etc. Even buying this, again assuming it is as stated, and selling it at a loss in 5 years would be much less of a loss than re-doing a rusty hulk and selling it and you get to actually drive it.

I wonder what kind of # it would take to buy the car? Either he's fishing, the wife said you have to sell it and he can say "I tried honey" or seemingly he knows he's going to have to take a decent amount less than the asking price.

I read some where that the air cleaner lids can be chrome or black. It was what was available or installed as it came down the assembly line.

If you look at the image there is no scoop bulge and it's mounted to something more blue color than the brown car.
As far as I know the Stage1 emblems were only 2 mounted on each side of the scoop. Wonder if he just added an emblem to his "paperwork box"?

That's clearly a GS hood with bulge and that emblem is in the correct factory position. He zoomed into that emblem so far that you cannot see the contour in that one pic. There are no other stage 1 emblems on this car. If you look REALLY close that that closeup pic of the emblem, about 1 inch or so above it, there is a hint of the hood contour. I've seen a trillion of these adds over the years. This one smells completely real to me.

Oh no, I have no doubt that it's not the real deal..I was just joshing with member "TWO72's post:)
Still can't see the hood contour though? Yup, probably is the hood though.

I'm no expert on stepchildren, but isn't that a factory power antenna? I parted a loaded '69 many, many years ago (the most loaded GS I've ever owned) & I thought that was where the power antenna was.
