Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Same here. I'd just detail it and add some nice rims and tires.

Took it for first real shakedown ride of about 20 miles last night, amazed! Seriously like driving a brand new 1967 car. Steering smooth, tight and crisp, ditto transmission and even shift lever, and not one body rattle to be heard. And most amazing to me: the 225 V6 is not only quite smooth, but not even so slow. I had always thought the pre-balance shaft Buick V6 (pre-1976 or so, the so called "odd-fire") was a rough animal. Not this one.

    Extremely fun!

I have driven a few v6 67's over the years, I agree it is rather smooth. Not sure I go along with the not even slow part though, I would say just barely adequate. Could you imagine a family loaded in it for vacation with the A/C on going up a hill, even a VW bus might pass it.

True enough. And I would never advocate buying this configuration for serious family duty, then or now. But for the unladen, leisurely collector car drive, it's not as bad as I thought it would be.

I love the oddity of it being a Special Deluxe with all the outer trim and full wheel covers ordered plus remote mirror & A/C with the V6. It would have been a dressly little Buick when new. Probably had white walls as well.
