1967-1968 GS Beauty Trim Ring "14x6

Hi, Buick People
I'm looking for a nice set of 67-68 trim rings for my 68 GS or whatever you have Thanks

 

You can buy reproductions from AMES. I think you have to look for the ones that dont have a round hole for the valve stem. They also have the stepped lip.

 

I am thinking 67 is different that 68/9. The 67 had a more square look and the 68/9 had more rounded, I may have two of the 68/9 but not perfect just good driver, thanks Bill.

 

Called this morning they don't carry them anymore have to find new supplier so they say. Thanks

Mike, sorry about the delay, did not forget, I keep thinkng I have more than two extra, well I found one more, I will try to get the pictures taken and post this evening, thanks Bill.

Not a problem, mine must be 68/9 five spoke trim rings, not the 67/8 disk brake wheel trim rings. Is your 68 a 4 piston disk brake car? What does the back of your ring look like? Do they make reproductions of that trim ring for other GM cars? Thanks Bill.

 

Page 157 of the 2012 Performance Years catalog has 14x6 trim rings ($239.00/set or $299.00/set) w/edges similar to what you are looking for. Question? GTOs trim rings came w/brushed interior rim and a bright polished lip.You can get either fully polished or brushed interior rim. Which was correct for Buick? Archie

 

Yes I also seen some on the Camero parts sites, but the picture was bad and could not see the face but looked correct. I did some more looking at the 68/9 dealer books I have and the disk brake wheel in 68 did have that trim ring and a five spoke trim ring wheel was not offered until 1969, thanks Bill.

 

I have a few of those trim rings,just have to make sure they are 14 inch,not 15.BrunoD.

68Skylarker, thanks for the picture of the back. I did find one like yours. just driver quality. If you do get a new set, I may be interesed in your old one's, trying to get a correct set for disk brake wheels. Bruno, also if you have any 14 or I am looking for nice one's like that in 15" for a 76 Pace Car,they are brushed center, thanks Bill.
