Not sure if its been shown before or a members car. https://gatewayclassiccars.com/MWK/533/1970-Buick-GS-Stage-1#VRight
It has been but been awhile. I like it other than the exhaust tips & the paint on the RF fender maybe not matching and Stage 1 emblem being whacked. I really didn't look super closely @ everything else.
Yup the one side of the front clip seems darker and the exhaust tips are kinda silly. Just how many 3 speed manual Stage1's were made?
I could be thinking of another car, but IIRC the 1 of 1 convertible was for sale in CA not too far back. Could've been a std 455 car.
There was a standard 455 3-speed convertible misrepresented as a Stage 1,Dano. Might be thinking about that one.
There a few threads here from 2007 and 2015 I think about the 3 speed GS's, both 350 cars and 455's/Stage1 Some who drove them saw just as good acceleration as the 4 speed or even better. Make sense with the torque curve of the big blocks and one less shift to make?
I can’t understand picking this car apart, it’s a really nice driver, and as rare as they come. I’m not a fan of Brown/ brown but still he’s asking $75k so that leaves wiggle room of $10k and well worth $65-70 IMO.
It is a really nice car. The only thing I would do is cut back the exhaust tips a bit. Who ever restored it liked the look of them but it was his car to do so
i saw the asking price and the first thing i thought of was Mr Roarke saying "welcome to fantasy island" i think they are playing word games with the "correct engine/drivetrain" how about born with drivetrain with detailed pics of stampings. i cant think of a less desirable color on muscle cars. even though the 3 speed makes it rare, that does not equal more desirable than a 4 speed. i would be shocked if someone paid more than 30-32grand. charlie
A 4 speed more desirable. That is like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I would not have any problem with a 3 speed just like some don't like cars with AC and would rather sweat bullets in the summer heat as they cruise along. If it is about crossing the finish line first , I would rather be driving a 3 gear.
