FYI, just have an electrical gremlin to track down and hopefully I will get it to fire. I've got no power to the ECM and heater fan. This is what the end result is.
Wow Dave, you've been on here alot lately. Does your new job allow for a life?:bla: Looks like Turbo Blue is soon to come to life. I got a friend of mine who knows computer car stuff well. LMK if you need help with it.
Yeah, being unemployed really helped out the progress report. The new job allows me to have weekends off and the gf dumped me, so times on my side. I may end up needing your freind, I need some help going through the wiring harness.
well altast your bad situatons turned something else in a goods one...more time for your projecT sucks being unemployed...just got laid off again...today!!ou: so since your talking about the wireing harness i assume its almost ready to run!?
Pretty darn close to running.......but I've taken some down time to work on the BUHOGG, makin' it a street car!
Got it running this weekend. Although My turbo is wasted. Any of you 455 Regal guys that big block these turbo cars have any GN turbos laying around that you want to sell?
You looking for a stocker??? I have one from my T6 that I'm swapping a 350 into. Rebuilt not too long ago, I only put maybe 500mi on it. LMK. Jeff.
I have a stock turbo that failed. I have stock injectors & stock innercooler so a stock turbo would suffice to get the car running, but it definitely doesn't hurt to upgrade. I have a nice set of ported heads and I ported the neck on my innercooler.
give jim a call, hes in bentlyville he should have a turbo laying around and possibly other stuff 724-263-4973
Regarding the 2 pics of Turbo Blue, can anyone say ZZZzzzzzzzz....! As time and money allow, do all the usual external upgrades to the powerplant and start taking the Ricers, the Stangs and the Vettes for some lunch money..... Robert
Hey Mike, Thanks for the lead. I may have to hit up your home-boy if things don't work out. I picked up a stock turbo down in BG for $40. I got it cheap because of all the broken studs. Eggs got them all out but one. We got stuck on 1/8" of hardened steel. It keeps eating up our drill bits........o No:
Nice score on the turbo:TU: I can get stock turbo stuff as well if you need it some other time. The car looks good! Run a smaller drill by 1/2 from what you are using? That might get you past the "work hardened" part of the broke stud. We used to use a carbide end mill to get past the hard part from the wasted drill. Then re-drill with the small one... Just a thought. When is the burn out pic ? :kodak:
Had some fun last night at PRP.Here are some shots of what I was able to get.Good job on this car Davey:TU:
