Nice pics I'm just not liking the scoop. But to each his own.

I'll have to say that I don't care for the scoop either :(, just doesn't look right. But otherwise, nice car. :TU:

It really depends on your taste. I for one don't think thats the right car for a hood scoop, hood pins and a black painted grill. Your 70 would look great with a 70 or 72 GS hood and a GS grill and a black vinyl top. :TU: Of coarse that just my opinion, AL.

Only because you asked, I prefer the before picture. LIke you, I'm on a budget and I painted the grille black and left the hood as is. Never had a vinly top so that wasn't an issue for me.

I take it the blue car in the forground is the before? :)

Seriously, though, it looks nice (though I'm not a scoop fan). I bet it looks really good with the black grill.

hey man I'm not gettin on the bandwagon here but I don't like the scoop either and I never would have said it unless you asked. I didn't like it when I saw it in ur avatar, but who the heck am I? I don't drive ur car. If you like it keep it. It's ur car. It's all about what you like dude. Leave the scoop and put some primer on the body, you know you want to!

I like what you've done with it. The mudflaps, the scoop, the blacked out grill. It screams "I race on the weekends so don't bother me on tuesday.".

I love that first shot of both cars. Reminds me back in 1983 when I had my 1982 Mustang GT and my same 1970 GS455, the same GS now in my avator. Good luck in your project. It takes time and patience. Your on the right track. I have found some changes I made over the years I ended up re-doing as later on I didn't like it. Either way it's good to ask for opinion and sugestions, along the way you also get some great information and this is the site to be on to get it.

Not to Hammer on you too hard, not a fan off the scoop, but then I don't like any. And I prefer the old black top. Car looks good though, I wouldn't throw it out of my garage!

I just ordered the Buick Stage 2 hood scoop....looks better than the little one you have, in my opinion. I won't be putting it on until the spring so no pics until then.

I dig the mudflaps, but would have left the grill silver (has more depth that way, instead of looking like one black blob) and would have gone w/o the scoop. Just my $.02! :3gears:

    Thanks again guys....

It feels wierd hearing people say they don't like the car you love, but then again i'm the one driving it... I do appreciate your comments, actually, the negative ones make me feel like it is even more a 1 of a kind, my own look and personality...

Johnno, I have all the respect for you in the world, Love your pics I've seen of the car, and the video's, but as far as the scoop goes, it does the job.. I kinda feel like any bigger would be overkill. My opinion. Only so much air can suck through an air cleaner am I right,.. I honestly don't know half of what you all know, I'm only 25, but It works for me.. I ordered the video thats for sale and am eagerly awaiting its arival... I can only imagine..........

Maybe an aftermarket thing that someone put on? I like them and I don't really know why. They add a sense of "toughness" to the car. It makes want to go put some on my cars.
