Mine was the car that started it all for me...a '71 Skylark Custom.

I was looking for a car and a friend told me he had the Skylark for sale. I didn't know what a Skylark was at the time so he explained it as "like a Chevelle.":Dou:

Anyway I thought it was cool and different so I bought it.

Man, the things I did to that car...

Mine was a '74 Camaro Type LT (trim package); 350 4v. Decent power for a first car It was my mom's, but I got it when I got my license.

Over time it had lost its front floors, and the doors would freeze shut in the winter; but if you could get inside, it would fire right up no problem.

I first learned to wrench on that car. Since I was learning, I rarely had it on the road.

I ended up driving my mom's '73 Cutlass Supreme most of the time, and when we noticed the Camaro's rear frame was rotting at the leaf springs, that is when I got my Skylark.

First car was my 1965 Oldsmobile Jetstar 88. (Still have her) :)
My dad gave it to me when I was 16. It had 60k original miles on it. I drove it for about a year and then I went looking for a "beater" to drive so I wouldn't rack up the miles... I found my 70 Skylark. Bought her for $250 and I ended up fixing her up. It is a never ending cycle I tell ya!
