1965 Mustang with 130,000 miles on it. 289 w/ 3 speed on the floor. maroon with white interior. That motor was bulletproof. I tried to tear it up, but couldn't. It just kept running. Finally sold it to a friend of mine and he put another 100k on it.

I had a 7 year old Escort GT 4 speed in '89. It had been wrecked and the body looked like crumpled newspaper. I fixed it and beat...er, drove it for a year. I used to take it down dirtbike trails.

The throttle started sticking and after a minor accident I sold that car for 200 bucks and used that as part of the cash I used to buy a '70 Skylark Custom convertible.

1970 Buick Skylark Custom 350 2 barrel. Loaded, had all the chrome and 14" ralleye wheels. Drove it till the frame rotted through:ball: Michigan winters aka. salt. Started my great love of buicks.

    Take care

    FIRST CAR

I was lucky, my first car is my 71 GS 455! At a tender age of 16. A friend had a 70 Skylark with a built 350 & it ran well. I said i had to get one of these. During algebra class a friend of mine found my GS in a auto trader mag. looked at it that weekend & bought it. I owned her for 21 years. Randy

First car I owned was a 1973 MGB-GT. It's the coupe version of an MG. Genuine 4-banger with dual Strombergs (Ooohhhhh). Bright red with black interior.

Mother drove it into a hole that was being dug in the road while I was away in the Army. I guess it made a nice filler for the hole. Broke the frame right in half and all kinds of other nasty stuff. Oh well.

A 70 GS455, bought it 2 months before my 16th birthday. Sold that one, and since then have bought two more (see my signature). All of this from working at a grocery store and hobby shop. Life is good when you drive buicks every day :bglasses: .

    No problem Heather!

Sometimes cool topics like this get buried because of that '30 day rule' and they are really hard to find.

    Happy reading :beer
