Thanks, Roy. If you find one this low (6" in the rear), try to get one that has been c-notched already. Mine wasn't and sat on the rear snubbers. I'm getting ready to notch it now, which involves pulling the bed.
Thanks she has a L79 327 350 HP camel hump heads from a 67 vette and an overdrive with 3:55 gears and is a beast.
Last Spring, I was under my 1998 Buick Riviera changing the oil. Car still ran and rode great at 212K, BUT, the NY Winters had taken their toll on the underside. I could see the handwriting on the wall, and worried about the future structural integrity. I decided to sell the car. I put it on Craig's List, and had it sold for 1600.00 to a girl from Philly. I showed her the rust, but she did not care one bit, she was thrilled to get the car, it still looked great. Then, for the first time in my life, I bought a new car. My brother has had Honda cars all his life. They have always been dependable good cars. His current car is a 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid. Not a bit of trouble with the exception of an A/C condenser which was covered under a recall. I decided to look at the 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid. I looked at one in the NY Auto Show, and then test drove several of them. At the end of May 2023, I bought one and I could not be happier. It is rated at 46 MPG City, 41 Hwy, and 44 combined. Over the Summer, I was getting almost 51 MPG. So far in the colder weather, it's been mid to high 40's. Last tank was 47 MPG. I bought the top of the line Touring edition, it is loaded. Car rides and handles great. I converted my entire Library of CDs to MP3, and put them all on one Flash Drive. It sounds great with the 12 speaker Bose Audio system with Subwoofer. Blue is my favorite color. I always promised myself that if I bought a new car, it would be Blue. Well, this is Honda's Canyon River Blue. Reminds me of Diplomat Blue. Car looks like an Audi and BMW from different angles.
97 Riv for me. 84000 miles runs and drives like a proper Buick should. Dependable and gets me there in style @ 28 MPG
Had her since new 2011 Legacy 3.6 on Bilstein adjustable & Eibach springs. She's my dune buggy in the Keys & a snowmobile up here.
Dam salty New York, claimed my 06 Equinox. I would drive something cool but the salt doesn't care what it rots. I have thought about a 70 Chevelle daily since replacement parts are dirt cheap.
My daily driver is more of a weekly driver since I only have to work in the office one day a week, a 12 mile commute round trip. It is a 2019 F150 4x4 super crew with 3,5 EB and max tow package. It has only 23k miles. If it weren't for two long vacations a year it would get driven less than my Wildcat. Some day I plan to buy an enclosed trailer to take the Wildcat or Model A on vacation.
I have an older version of this van. Been my service truck and has been for the most part trouble free. Lately its been in the shop for the last 7 weeks. Getting hard to find anybody willing to work on them.
Cheers, got this wrecked and fixed it for my dd.It’s a 2016 Chevy Caprice Ppv Maryland state trooper car. It’s got a 364 cubic inch plant with a 6l80 six speed trans,it’s got a cop motor, cop tires ,cop shocks, cop suspension, it will go 150mph plus and stops on a dime. Added a rear spoiler and a subwoofer for the radio .It was a dot car ,I don’t think it ever had a perp in the back
