My best finds are a tie,my dream rides were a real triple black 69 Charger R/T,found it in 2008,a Cali black plate car, factory trip black 69 R/T SE,stripe delete,PW,A/C,AM/FM,PDB,etc,very loaded car.
And even though my other dream car was an 87 GN,and have had it since 92,always wished I could have bought one new,and last year found a as close to new as you can get,a 1,400 mile 87 GN,museum piece in every way, never altered, totally orig, still smells vividly new inside.Basically I look at it in the garage,I do not drive the car. Will take it enclosed trailored to shows, but that's it.

Good stories all. The pic of the ex could be the winner though.

    1st. In 1973 a 1968 428CJ 4 speed Cougar, $700. Wrecked it.
    2nd. In 1976 a 1961 Corvette 283 4 speed. $3500. Wrecked it.
3rd. In 1990 a 20K mile 1967 Cadillac Sedan de Ville that took second in a national show in Miami for $3000. Like an idiot sold it when offered $10K for it.
4th. In 1992 a 1972 Stage 1 four speed for $3800 needed total restoration though so it really wasn't a deal.
    5th. In 1998 a 1987 23K mile showroom Turbo Regal for $4400 that I resold for $15K.
6th. In 2000 a 1970 Black Wildcat loaded, every option almost showroom car for $4500. Sold it to a friend with first option buy back but he sold it without telling me and I was mad.......

Many years ago a late 50 OLDs 2 door with J-2 for $75. Drove home --showed 80k+ and had a very loose steering and ft end. Got it home and found tie-downs under the trunk mat and bullet holes in the trunk that were fiber-glassed over on the out side. Had a NC title too. 2-3 days later I sold it for $150.

Just lately picked up 70GS with original 43k in harvest Gold (original paint) with a Saddle interior. Its loaded except for PW also has had the ball joints done and wheels redone. The buick installed 8 track still plays. Only a 350 but drives like a dream.

My 70 GS 455 convertible. it went from a stripped and neglected trashed out mess ready for the crusher to a mean street bruiser! I also have a 72 suncoupe that was wrecked real bad, stripped to a naked shell and left for scrap metal that is now getting close to hitting the street with a potent 455, a 4 speed, a 3.08 posi and a new lease on life. What can I say -I like a challenge:Brow: I also rescued a 71 GS convert that is complete and original but a New England basket case , but I'm running out of time, parts and $$$$$!!!!!! I also scored a rust free 70 sky custom coupe for cheap money. saving those two for retirement!

Hi guys ok I think mine just happened this weekend. Searching the local c-list in Lima Thursday night and seeing a posting for a 1959 Olds Dynamic 88 sedan that was just posted within the hour. The pictures were in the garage and not great but you could tell it was decent with the asking price $1995. So I text my buddy who is a Oldsmobile guy all the way. He says send me a picture. This car is a two owner Utah estate car that they bought in 2004 with 120,000 miles 371 v8 and just a few small pinholes under the trunk mat by the rear wheel. Any how my friend Ben calls the guy (an older couple) and goes to see it Friday night just to look it because it was just around the block from him. Well he drives his 1968 98 over to see it and the old man wifes see his Olds and says I think we found the new owner for our 88 and tells him to make an offer. Well they ended up shaking hands and 1600.00 bought it. This car was just too nice to pass up and the guy that wanted to see it from Findlay would of ended up buying it if Ben did not. First with cash wins! So they tell Ben that it ran last 4 years ago and was road worthy then. Well after some messing around with it all it needed to go down the road again was a cleaning of the points. It will still need some clean up and some brake work but the motor is happy to be running. The gas smelled really bad but still burns. So on the maided trip yesterday he had it up to 80mph. It does have a set of newer tires in good shape.
The 88 will need new seat covers but for the money and little rust the paint shines and it runs good WOW! Why did I not have the money or space.

Thread revival time as the days of scouring the now barren landscape for hidden gems hit its peak! Today after I finished up my last exam, I decided to go cruising a little bit before coming back to the apartment. I go down one of the few roads around here I haven't previously been on and once I get a about 10 minutes out of town, I come up behind a school bus as its making a stop. As I'm sitting there waiting, I look to my right and what do I see? A 1970 Charger R/T. Plum crazy purple, black vinyl top. Looked like it had been in the same spot for about 25 years. I want to stop and ask about it but its not in a very good neighborhood and if someone hasn't bought in the time its been there, I doubt I'd be able to either

But ya' never know, it could be a Hemi...

Never saw the acknowledgement. She like to dress for a fashion show and love them Buicks too. She was a Dutch Christian Reformed girl from Grand Rapids and that was her way of rebelling. She lived at home until we got married and curfew wall 11 p.m. One night we pulled in at 11:15 and her mom came out shaking a bible saying we were all going to hell. Of course it was OK to make out and watch the sun com up as long as we were in the driveway. Ahhh.... YOUTH! ws

Back in the mid to late nineties Leon's in Virginia had a picture of a shell of a GSX (not sure if it was real or a clone?). It had been sold by the time I saw the photo. Did anyone from the board score it?

Ill have to dig out some of the other Buick cheesecake pics, but the real stuff??? The young guys couldn't conceive of it and the other guys my age would have a grand mall seizure. Well maybe a polaroid or two... ws

a few months before finding my Electra I found a 65' Starfire that had AC and original leather interior and aside from a little bit of fender damage was clean as heck for 2500 bucks. Car sold an hour and a half before I could get to it. Around the same time I found a SUPER clean 64' 442 with a built Old's 350/th350 3:42 posi for 5k again I missed it by a few hours.
