I'm 30, but I act like I'm 50!! I don't move fast, except with my right foot, and don't care what people say, cause I can't hear them (I'm not deaf...yet). I hang around alot of 45-65 year olds, but then again I'm around alot of gen-Xers too.

I've been into Buicks for 6 years next month. I bought my GS in July 1997. Ever since then my only thought has been about making my Buicks faster. Maybe someday I'll actually get off of my butt and do it. lol

I just turned 30 in April and my '62 Skylark was my present to myself. New to Buicks, new to classics. I'm not a power/speed guy, it was the style points that attracted me to it.

I guess I'm relatively young, but I've been married nearly 10 years and my daughter will turn 7 next month, so I FEEL OLD.

    Hey Guys,
I'm seventeen and in love with just about any 80's style car, or truck. My first ride was a '91 S10, after about 2 months i traded my stepdad for a '87 S10(dumb thing, the 91 was a short bed with a v6 and a 5speed, the 87 was long bed with a 4 bangger, but the 91 was his to begin with, he broke his arm and had 7 pins in it and couldn't drive the 5 speed for a while) then I had a 88 Mercury Cougar with just aobut evey option(miss that car, totally destroyed it:ball: ) and now have a 87 Escort GT for a daily driver and trying to buy the 85 regal. But i really love G-Bods. I don't really care what it is as long as it's from the 80's really. What i want to get after i get the Regal like i want it is an Trans Am. After seeing Smoky and the Bandit when i was a kid I always thought they were on of the coolest cars out there. I also like some of the older cars like the 60's Mustangs (cousin in California has a 64 1/2), Novas (real dad had a black 60's one, wrapped around a telephone pole in 69, the bumpers were touching), Road Runners( dad had a black one of those also), Chargers( girl friends dad has one). First car wreck I was in was when I was four, dad rolled a 70's nova and it threw me out on the frist roll and him on the second and both of us walked away. I guess speed and wrecks run in our family. I wreck my cougar three time before i junked it. When John(stepdad) moved in he had a 67 F-100 or 150, not sure what numbers were, with he sold and the guy who has it now races it and it's like a high 11's low 12's truck. I've seen it run but John hasn't. So there are a few of us young muscle guys out there. My dream car is a Nomad. I love nomads. I have a Greatuncle right now who restores old cars and he had a '57 Chevy that was his and his wife that he traded for two 64 Impla's, a hard top and a convertable. His wife died last year of cancer and he didn't want it anymore. He also had a 55 Belair, but i don't know if he's still got it.

    later guys

Hey, Heather - I thought I recognized the car. I take it that your dad is Kevin, and your uncle Dave?

Deep Staged is a very cool car....

Gotta say I am pleased to see all these younger folks..

I bought my first Buick at 16 yrs old, a 72 Skylark 350-2, fire red with black buckets and console, deluxe interior, maplight, bumper guards, 69,000 orig miles. Pass quarter was bashed. Owned the car 13 years, painted, it complete front end resto, added duals, new timing chain, carb rebuild, etc. smoked a lot of '78-85 camaros, firebirds, etc. at least till 65 mph from a dead stop, lol.
parted ways at 175k miles running strong
    oh yeah i'm 38, so i guess i'm a senior citizen here.....

It makes me happy to see so many young faces here, thats good. Sometimes I think when our current generation (the ones who kind of grew up with these cars) is gone, the cars will be forgotten.

I am way over your limit, being 35, but I did buy my 71 Stage 1 when I was 17 and still in high school. Owned it all these years.

Musclecars seem to attract all ages. It always amazes me that I get the thumbs up from guys (and gals) who wouldn't even have been born when the car was new.

Don't slam the new ones too hard, no style?? 350Z, G35 sport coupe come to mind with more on the way and they are much better overall cars, but of course I still love the old ones....

    yeah...

St Dominic, De La Salle, LSU .
Just left your neck of the woods (Houston) due to a mass layoff by worldcon.
I was just thinking of the "hey bra" mobiles I raced as a youth:
jacked-up Dusters, Z28, trans ams (all catalytic) with Appliance rims and chrome exhaust extensions providing imagined horsepower gains, LOL!!That group's son's have evolved into the "ricers" of today!!!

I'm 18... and I've always loved old cars.

If it's fast, loud, and it's powered by a V8... it's my kind of car. :) It's so bad, that I refuse to drive a 4-cylinder car, let alone a FWD car.

    Re: yeah...

Well, I guess we know each other then-- St. Matthias, De La Salle, UNO. You gotta name?

Yup, most of the cars I raced were late 70s Z-28s/Trans Ams, with a couple of Novas thrown in.

Hey been awhile since I stopped by and noticed this forum section, figure what the hell..

I turned 20 back in December, i'll be turning 21 in what...6 more months? Sad to say I never really got into cars that much. My father would always talk about his old Apollo he had when he was young and how he would love to get his hands on another one. After 20 years his dream came true, when my uncle called him telling him that this dude had a '74 apollo to sell. He made the hours drive or so, car was banged up in the front pretty good and stuff, 4 door, etc. Wasn't quite what he hoped/expected. Called me at home and something inside me said F* it...bring it home! So when that car pulled up its like the inner car dude that was strugglin to get out finally surfaced. :Brow:

Boy what was I thinking all these years! I missed out on the coolest thing all these years. :Dou: :spank:

Now I'm slowly learning the ropes, terms (like rice...:Brow: ), and the whole kit 'n kaboodle. Now I won't even give newer style cars a second look. I'm even gonna try to get some schoolin' under the ol' belt of mine eventually. Gonna be rebuilding my first carb' hopefully around next weekend. Our Buick is in the shop gettin all the fancy stuff and more power...which was a mistake....6 friggen grand people...all charged on credit cards...what in the hell were we thinkin!!?!?!?!?!?! :Do No:

Anyway, the guy is gonna give me a bunch of old stuff to take home and rebuild and clean up to display at home and learn. So now a whole new world has opened up to me and I love every moment!!
