Sorry Steve, I got in late. There was a 65 Riv GS on ebay (that was pretty much only good for parts) last week but it was also in AL. That's a long way for me to go for a parts car. A 3-way deal may be worked out though as the only parts I don't need are the valve covers. Keep in touch, and if you part out, let me know.

He asked me to tell you he's moving on now. :ball: I AM however, still interested in just the factory BUICK Nailhead Valve covers. . . .REALLY INTERESTED!!! Sure! I already have a set of finned valve covers, just need the intake, carbs, linkage, fuel lines, etc. This is off topic, but its a good story... I went for a ride on my Harley one Sunday and came back to see a guy, probably in his early 60's looking at my Riv in the driveway. He asked to see the engine,etc. and I showed him the car. He said he had a 64. I explained that my car was a true GS but was missing the dual quads and valve covers, if he knew of any call me and I gave him a business card. A month or so later on another Sunday, we came back from lunch at the in-laws and there's a set of dirty, but otherwise perfect, finned valve covers sitting against my garage door. It had to be the same guy, but he never came back, I would have gladly paid for them! Restores your faith in humanity a little, there are still some nice guys out there!

You might want to email me since I just finished the rebuild of a complete '64 set-up at about the same time the local guy that was planning to purchase it was handed his layoff notice. I will need to begin charging a deposit when I start on them now more than ever before. :idea2: I do have a 65 version too but the stuck rear carb has been winning the fight with me so far for getting that one all finished up. :rant:
