I AM SPEECHLESS AT THIS ONE!!! Are poeple just having fun with this guy or?

Folks.. I have a theory. Let's say you're a collector and you would like to get a nice part CHEAP. Now, you already have the part-but it isn't that nice. So, why not throw it up on ebay, have a bunch of your friends bid the living he** out of it. Most people, who see this part go for BIG $$$$ then places a similar part on ebay- hence, you have 20 of the same part floating around and you (the collector) can have your choice at a reasonable price (as there are so many of them)...
    Makes sense :Do No:

I bet you the very next bid meets the reserve.

7 days left on the bids, and has 11 so far. I agree, something is not right about this item.

We all know why it is so much......IT FITS A BUICK! This stuff is gold plated-right? I will have a nice pile of scrap once the weather changes...If I was a crook, I could sell the stuff as "good" like some of these crooks do! Can you feel my frustration? My GS is my first and willl be my last BUICK project.

lets not forget that the 69 is a 1 year only aircleaner, the crankcase breather hose goes in the right side instead of the left.
That being said.......holy crap, I wish I was the one selling it!
The seller started with a $100 opening bid, I think his reserve is too high.

This will be interesting to watch. I have one on the board for $250.00 and not one reply or offer. Thanks Bill.

I think the Seller is bidding this item up using other Bidders accounts ...

Stuff like this is why some cars that are worth fixing get parted out.

come on, no ones shill bidding....its just one of those things, sometimes if a couple people need it and start a bid war it will go out of sight.

I sold a challenger T/A steering box , it was worth about 450 maybe it brought 1100 bucks, 4 guys wanted it and they went nuts...the guy that won wanted it for a 73 Challenger(retard) sometimes the stars line up and its nuts.....now every 69 cleaner wil be on ebay.,,in a week

my theory, theres a whole segment of people that have no clue how to search for or find parts, they sit in an office, browse the computer, find it on ebay, bid, win use a credit card, and its sent straight to them....they are clueless, or they live in the middle of montana and theres no where to get parts...

swap meets are dead now at least for the last 3 years..i have spent a ton of money driving 400 miles, buy gas, a hotel room, food and on and on, and come home empty, i still go because i love the chase/time trying to get that great deal...that no longer exsists....we used to make fun of the model A guys chasing their parts...now im the model A guy...ebay has killed the swap meet...all i hear at swap meets is ebay sucks blah blah blah.....its a different world and with the economy in the toilet...whats the future?

If you're sitting in Montana, you spend your weekends driving around till you find it sitting out somewhere with no rust. Now on the Washington coast.... No unloved cars last well enough to get parts from. Lots of cars around here that some one is going to "fix up some day" that rot into the ground, under a blackberry hedge. They never make it till the old guy dies and the kids sell off his stuff.

Yeah, I forgot about that Brett. I think you still hold the all time record. But at least yours was totally restored.
