Hey guys, It seems quiet here on the performance side of things. Anyone getting ready for spring to race there 350s? I've got alot going on here myself. Some nice headers just came in the mail, will get full 3" Xpipe magnaflow system, Lunati cam coming with matching valvetrain hardware. I'm also about to fuel inject the car with a Retro Tek system, should be here really soon. I'm also adding a standalone fuel system for the nitrous. Retuning the suspension, 90/10s upfront with some control arm modifications to elinate binding of the bushings. Rear sway bar or anti roll bar will go in. And all this should be done in time for my first day at the track which will either be March 23 or 27, weather permitting. I'm thinking a goal of 11.70 at around 112mph should be attainable. I'm going to put this car through hell trying to get that number.....BUT if I get it easy some how right away, then I will push WAY deeper! Can you say 250shot.... Any suggestions/questions.
All this and the motor should still stay under 5500rpm. PS anybody got a 60psi oil pump spring there not using they could throw in the mail?
the retro tek unit!? let me know how well it works and ease of install i was planning on getting their blowthrough version
All that needs to me changed out is the map sensor to either a 2 or 3 bar sensor depending on how high you intend to boost up. 2 bar will go to 14.7 and the 3 bar will go to 29psi(I run upwards of 35 on my other car) and it reads to about that point. PS I have the 550hp spec setup so I can use it on both the current 350 then later on with the 455 with just a few tune updates.

just wndering if you got the chance to install the retrotek tbi? and in a few weeks i shall be ordering 2k worth of **** :-D
I haven't installed the Retro tek kit yet no. If you can wait about 2-3 weeks I will have the system fully installed and tuned. I will give full feedback on the system about ease of installation and driveabiltiy vs my current 750. Once I decide between a sumped tank or fuel cell the installation will be done, I will breakdown everything I needed to get in addition to install the system.
Hey skylarkman13, my car with just cheap 2.25" exhaust and flowmasters with a 100shot of nitrous with 3.73 gears and NOTHING else, the car runs 13.20-13.30 all day long. Squeezed out a 13.18 at 102 mph with that setup.
so does anybody else have any suggestions/modifications to offer? I think I maybe running hoodless with the new setup for alittle while due to air filter clearance or lack of!!!!
hmm. I need to get that then and a 4bbl intake because apparently a holley 500 is killing it and im running high 15's stock in my 71 with a 350
I don't know how fast guys have gone over the years that have stock 350s, but my best is 14.91 at 91mph and my motor made 210hp at the wheels to do this. Sean made a typo with his 13.9 comment.
True, I think im going to try and trade a weiand 455 4bbl intake and the holley 500 2bbl i have now for a 4bbl carb and intake. Just struck my mind.
