And YES I asked permission. Just can’t Believe that nobody beat me to it. Do you see the sizes of some of that wood. And it’s wet just cut. I deserve a six pack

That would last all winter in GA. Probably a few days worth where you are.

All u have to get to now, is splitting. I have cut, stacked, split so many cords of wood from 1974-1988, for my fireplace, then fireplace insert.
My grandfather taught me how to split wood.
I had to travel 100 miles to my dad's farm get all that wood. I loved being in the bush!

I would love to live in West Virginia. I can only dream about it. Beautiful country. Spent 13 years in a row. Driving down to Logan. Hatfield McCoy trail system. Best ATV riding east of Utah. Good friendly people in West Virginia

I always enjoyed splitting wood when I lived in MA. Here in sunny SW Florida amid the algae and dead fish, all we have is pines and palms - neither is decent firewood (not that we need firewood). In MA I always split with a sledgehammer and wedges. We just used the wood for the fireplace - we had two of them. They were properly designed and did help with the heating of the house. Most residential fireplaces are too deep to throw much of any heat. Nice score Steve.

Yes John you said it . It’s just for sound and smell. Someday when my ship comes in . I will install a real wood stove (efficant) in the mud room beside the gas furnace. So I can adjust dampener. To use wood stove through the furnace ducts. Another trick . My heating and cooling guy told me . The guys that install them for a living . Strategic ly put a Ac/Dc low voltage fan in the middle of the ductwork ( so the fan keeps everything equall) dispersing air around . So the thermostat does not kick on all the time. I also have (3) fisher ceiling fans in the house witch help a little

DwayneB down in Logan WVir. The mountains are huge, coal capitol of the world. ( well back in the day 50’s to 70’s . It is a mini tropical rain forest down there. It really is a fascinating place. And the guys that use to work for Consol energy ( no longer in business) use to use hydro seeding machines to plant clover and food plots after they cleared small areas with earth moving equipment on top of the mountains. They use to send me pictures of Bucks . Huuuge whitetails. Unreal. But I think there is no gun hunting in (3-4) counties. So deer grow big an old. Economy not good down there shame

Consol sold all their mines in West Virginia, but they still have the Bailey complex here in Washington/Greene Counties. I’ve worked for them for 7 years underground.
