I made one out of a 2"X4" piece if sheet metal in the field with a hack saw and a pair of dikes. I'd have used my Dremel at home.
you guys make it sound real complicated. Ive had the same home made tool for the clip removel for 20 yrs. just a pocket screw driver with a "U" heated and bent in the end of it. push the panel and washer back find the loop sticking up reach in there and pull lightly. clip come off and ya remove the crank. Piece of cake unless some moron has glued it with JB weld! then all bet R off!
