EDIT : took a couple HEI pics but had to plow this am then work . will post a couple later . no shaft play , no cap or rotor . wiring etc looks ok .
Drive to Michigan. I know someone that has two sitting around you could have for around $300 ea. I see them all the time for under $500
Matt hooked me up with a distributor, coil, wires, exhaust manifolds, now all I need is a 4brl intake
which rocker shafts are the best for the buick 350, the all steel ones or the steel shaft with aluminum rockers? which ones are more performance?
The early alum rockers seem more resistant to wear, but they can break. The later steel ones are more resistant to breaking but more likely to wear and get loose. There is a slight ratio difference as well but i doubt it would make a hp difference.
I looked up the shipping. The manifold is around 50+ lbs. Luckily for you, your not too far away. I can do $100 shipped on a good, used 4 bbl manifold.
Dang, I just picked up a world products Motown sbc intake for 150. Now that's a boss intake, and I gotta pay 100 for a stock buick intake. Man that is hard to swallow, not saying it's not worth it but that is a hard one to put down the stomach.
68-69 rockers wear the best and are supposedly 1.58 ratio.68-69 required conversion pushrods if used in a 70 and up engine. 70-73 aluminum rockers wear grooves in the shafts I would avoid for performance use with higher lifts and spring pressure. Stamped steel are common and new are available. These would be good .
$25 for the intake, and $75 for the time, effort, actual shipping charge, and sheer inconvenience of messing with a cumbresome piece of cast iron..
Exactly. Your right on the money! Josh- what are you willing to pay for a 4 barrel intake shipped?
