Nice . I'm sure the production run will be milled for quadrajet. If not I'm sure they can do that before its shipped. Mike did mention some machining on production run will be different.

Hoping to have it up and running well by then! Feeling good about it though, I have been ironing out a bunch of creases getting ready. She has been running very well, and I hope the addition of the new intake will compliment the build further.

went to walt's house tonite to compare the sp3 to my intake. one is smooth looking and the other is rough around the edges. both about the same height. plenum is nice on the sp3. looks like everybody should be happy with it. but it can't be used for a blower intake. oh well.

It talk with John wednesday nite and compared his intake he made to the SP3 .The height was about the same as well as plenum was roughly the same size.
I have to admit a very creative way to make an intake manifold. John it was pleasure meeting you an talking about buicks an racing them.

Well, in effort not to make a sudden change and a serious lack of time, the SP3 won't be installed in time for BPG. I'll tote it along in case anyone wants a gander. I did have a chance to throw on a q-jet base and see where I need to cut.

I started to port under the carb base an radius the corner going into the runners. I'll start the port matching when i get the stage one off, still need to make new intake manifold bolts.

This may have been asked already but will this intake fit under stock GS hood? I am looking at this intake but not willing to change hoods if that is a factor.

    Thanks

Phil, pretty sure Mike designed it only 3/4" taller than the dual plane, so it would fit under a stock hood.

We are setting up the SP3 intakes again right now. Should have some available in a few weeks. They will be offered either in Holley or QJ. The QJ pattern will bolt both QJ & Holley as you all know. This intake will fit under a GS hood. If I remember, I think it is very close or you can even use a GS air cleaner. Can't remember. O ya, I think we can also put a Holley Dominator pattern in it. Holley does or did offer a 750cfm Dominator. I thought that would be cool. The only thing is, the intake would always be a Dominator intake. Never seen an adapter to go from Dominator to std Holley or Qj.

If one was handy on a Bridgeport they could always make their own adapter.

There is an adapter from dominator to holley but its about 2 in tall. I got one around somewhere. I think its an edelbrock.
