18:43 @ 74.20, that must put me in the top 5% of the boats guranteed, right?

New run at July 9, things that will be upgraded by then..

    New K&N filter, bought today.
The smaller wider wheels, 15/60/255 instead of 15/75/225
All crap out of the trunk
    No girlfriend in the car
Hei installed, should be recurved by then, have the kit.
Rebuilt carb, maybe if there's a chance. I've got the book, but who knows..

I also picked up the strap to hold down the battery and the double throttle return springs today, so the car will be all legal for next run.

16.2 @ 85 mph. With a well-tuned 350...can't wait to see what the 455 does (if I ever get it done...)

That's 11/100ths of a second, can't you just make fifteen runs, and be lucky?

I'll bet if you'd take off those 4-note horns, the weight savings would do it...if not, you'll have to get rid of that trunklid chrome. I know a guy who would look after it for you. :Brow:

I don't think he would ever let his car part from "the elusive trunk lip moldng"

    Things that could go:

    1. The subwoofer
    2. The four note horns (keep one, so you can say it was still street worthy)
    3. Go to the bathroom

my car weighs in at 4600 so it will be on a serious diet once the engine is back together!

The sub comes out for racing...and the spare tire, along with all the crap that is in the trunk. Even the carpeted trunk panels come out.

I have nothing else I want to pull out though! Gotta run the AC down the track ya know! ;-)

    Let's see: Trunk moulding = <1 lb

    Horns = 6 lbs

    I'm gettin there!!

    4 note

6 pounds is way to much weight to carry down the track, I better hang on to the 4 notes for you. BTY - got the chrome end peices back from the chromer, they are fantastic, had the stainless polished also :Brow:

Where's a good spot to weigh your car? You just take the "weigh truck" off ramp on the freeway and fork over 5$?

most scrap metal yards have scales. you are weighed before you drop off your junk, then as you leave,a bit of math and they give you a few bucks depending on what scrap you dropped.

best thing to do is find somebody with a 4-scale system.

most any circle track will have one in the tech area and pretty much every Late Model or Modified team is either going to have a set or have easy access to a set.

you could try going to a roundy track on race day several hours before the race (scales are usually put away during the week) and asking the tech crew for permission to scale your car. or make friends with a circle track team.

any modern 4 way scale will give you your cross weights, left side bias and percentage F/R as well as total. it should simplify suspension setup a great deal.
