I'm sure the shipping is the killer on a big molded unit. Be double sure that the box it's delivered in looks perfect before accepting it. If the box is AT ALL damaged, make a note with the shipper, before accepting it. I think you can still do that...

That's probably a set for a model with Bows. Don't remember if the '73/'74 X cars still had the holes on the side interior metal structure, for bow installation.
