I've installed several acme headliners. They are fine.

I have a related, but slightly off topic question...

Since I removed my old headliner and jute padding yesterday in preparation for some roof repair welding, It seems to me that jute must have been installed before the roof skin? When installing replacement padding, how is it possible to get it in (between the skin and the structure)?

It really isn't in some spots. You can use some of the 3M 2-part expanding foam...it is used in the hood framework and I like to use it in the trunk lids too, to minimize vibration. And also to keep the metal from oil canning when block sanding.

Yes, rock auto uses acme for their headliners. Probably get a better price on there too.

Super decent price i thought. 400 bucks shipped. Was expecting way more to be honest.

What kind of car is it?

I only ask because I thought the one for my car was $110?

It’s a 1973 Buick Apollo hatchback with seatbelt holders up top.
If you find me one for that price I’m all for it lol.

Amazing what time does. I bought my headliner from OPG about 10 years ago. It was like $60 or something. That was WITH extra sail panel material and sail panel boards.

The apollo headliner is a completely different animal. Its a molded piece, similar to the new stuff.
