I missed that emblem on the hood.
This is the 2nd '69 Riviera I've heard of then that has the cursive emblem on the hood as used on the 1970 models.
Makes me wonder if late '69 production cars ended up with '70 hoods?

    Hey Brad,

After thinking about this a bit, did Buick really equip some 69 Riv rear bumpers with holes for exhaust tips? :Do No:

I have NEVER seen a 69 Riv with holes in the rear bumper for the tail pipes. If Buick really did this to a few 69 Rivs, then I completely retract my previous comment about the E-bay ad with the owners cutting holes in the rear bumper.

I think these are good questions for the editors at the "Riview", the Riviera Owners Association magazine!

No, Buick never did do this to the Riv's. There were some drawings of 69 model year A-Bodies I have around here showing a rear through the bumper exhaust. Never put into production however.

Definitely not a GS but this car looks nice and straight. Wrong air cleaner for 66 but if the air cleaner is going to be wrong that sure is the best "wrong" one you could hope for. If the body is solid on this car its a nice buy. Color is a little blah but other than that it looks like a great start. I wouldn't trust the mileage statement without close scrutiny.

I wanted to do this to my Riv using the N 25 tips. Unfortunately there is no room on the R side due to the fuel tank. Id like to see how they got around it with the tips shown in the pics.

    Briz,
So there isn't room just outside the frame rail and lower towards the bottom? Seems like there would be but agree it would be tight. Thats a cool modification.

The blue car sold for $5701. Congrats to the seller. This is a great example of what a pretty color will do for an ebay sell.
