Sandblasting front control arms until the ever present thunderstorms put an end to that . My rabbi hole grows by the day. Yesterday I Removed the tank that I put in 3 yrs ago along with the rear bumper trying to find a way to install them with out cutting them

OK, I'll bite: What is a rabbi hole?

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

What does rabbit hole mean? Used especially in the phrase going down the rabbit hole or falling down the rabbit hole, a rabbit hole is a metaphor for something that transports someone into a wonderfully (or troublingly) surreal state or situation.

Only had to move an engine, rear end, radiator, two inner fenders, yada yada. I need a bigger garage. But those skates worked great!

Got back to the Triumph again tonight. Over the past couple weeks, I changed the plugs, cleaned up the airbox and put a new filter in it, changed the oil, and charged the new battery. Tonight I finished cleaning out the gas tank, put it back on, installed the battery, put a little gas in it, and fired it up!

I need to do the front brake pads next and replace the old brake fluid. More gas is needed too. I only had about a quart of non-ethanol left. Just enough to get it running. :D

Message_1652732703261.jpg Spoke to Mike Today at TA. He is finishing up the machine work on the Tomahawk block probably next week Real pleasure talking to him. Really excited because I will not only have the aluminum block. But also a forged Molnar crank and rods ,
A speedy delevery from Kenny Betts on the rotating assembly and custom pistons for this project. Plus other parts HE really hoked me up. Went out of his way on this project Also scored a Billet Hydraulic Roller cam from a bord Member. . All toped to be toped off with A never installed BDS 8-71 blower. Hats off to Ethan aka Hugger.
Can't thank him, Kenny Mike and others enough for making this happen.
I know TA is doing their best on getting the block ready. Called my new local machinest today also about getting a estimated finish time on the replacement STD. crank from a 68 Riv GS 430 for my iron block 455. The 430 only had 57,000. Not 157.... miles. I was very surprised to see the engine had never been opened up. By my best guess.
Clean inside. No gasket sealer anywhere. Steel factory head gaskets. But about rusted through. Even no ridge at top of cylinders.
STD bearings. Even started it up. Just had compression issues varying well over 50 PSI on 4 of 8 cylinders. After disassembly one piston cracked at skirt. The other missing top of piston over top ring in a area a bit over an inch.
Sorry getting off topic. So no phone answer from local machinest.
For the last week I've been cleaning shop and equipment/ tools. Getting ready to build a few engines I hope soon.
CAST engine will go together and in first. So I will be able to drive the car. Then I can build the TomHawk taking time to redesign the serpentine system which I currently run on the iron block.
But its not going to fit with a blower belt in the way.
I plan to do the V8 Buick Tomahawk Registery and post the build when I get started in the same thread section. I think
    it goes under , RACE 400, 430, 455.

Picked up some used Torq Thrusts for my square body Chevy off a truck that was about to be scrapped.

Decided to try hand polishing them a bit this evening. Was using a microfiber applicator and Mothers polish.
