What kind of crayons did the factory use when they marked our cars?

    Doh! I did the same thing the first time I redid my GS. Years later when I wanted to go back over the car more thoroughly after having used it as a daily driver for a while, I began lightly sanding the firewall back down.

    Low and behold, the original markings held in there under the paint I had used! This time I documented & recreated them after repainting the firewall again. I don't know what the yellow X(?) designated but the lettering is self explanatory. My car is Verde Green. Guess they wrote that on there so that the Baltimore line workers looking head-on at the car didn't bolt a red front cap to it. :laugh:

    BTW, my '67 is an automatic with power drum brakes which as Brad pointed out, is most common.
