To the original poster........How much do you have to spend?.......say for a GSX-QQ paint stage 1 4 speed........52000 original miles.......original Steel, glass,tires(2) interior,engine, trans, rearend,......and probably the air in the rear tires(kidding)............in need of a restoration.........??????? And enough low ball offers to fill a stadium........Hint Hint..............
Sorry about not getting back to everyone. I am looking for a numbers matching car with documentation. 4 speed or auto. Would really like a survivor type car, that may or may not need some minor paint work and detailing and cleaning to preserve it's originality and survivor type qualities. I understand the values of these cars and would not waste anyone's time with crazy low ball offers. All condition of numbers matching cars considered. Thank you for the replies so far and no worries about some of the posts above, I always find it entertaining when people criticise other people's cars or work. This may not be the case here but from my experience the person making the comments has nothing even close to what they are critiquing.
The car does not need to be perfect to win concours gold, it has to have all of the correct parts as installed by the factory and the parts should be in reasonable condition. The car also does not need to be a trailer queen either. My '68 GS won concourse gold and it was driven over 2 hundred miles to the show. My GS is not even close (let me say that again, not even close) to the level of Duane's or Jim Lores GSX's but it does have correct factory parts that are in very good condition. I spend the time to find correct parts for my car, I even searched for the correct "off white" colored door lock knobs to replace the wrong chrome versions p The little things help.... I did not score 400 points but it did score enough to qualify for a Gold award. The year before that my GS won a Gold Award at the BCA Nationals and that was before I did some major under hood detailing. The day before the BCA Nationals it made at least 15 passes down the 1/8 mile track :3gears: Sorry to hijack the thread again....:laugh:

Maybe this one? you asked for a stage 1, unfortunately, this is a non-stage1. It is a 4 speed, 30k original mile car with some nice options for this car, AM/FM radio, tilt wheel and speed alert speedometer. completed by Then and Now Automotive in July 07. the car earned 396/400 at the BPG HP Nationals, Aug 08.
