Found the other whole car pic, still pretty dark even after enhancing. Cheap camera I guess. By the way it was an original light blue car. Door jambs still that color.
Didn't see anything obviously missing. It had no body side molding like some 68s have. But there were not any holes. Might have been filled if the original moldings were removed. It did have the Special Delux emblems on the both back quarters. Bumpers were pretty nice too. The door rubber seals were a little hard so could use new ones, but they were intact.
Sounds like it could be a good open to anything project. I'm not talking about racing, but like going the gs 350 or cali, or gs 400 way.
Nice evening for a conv ride, so went and drove it. Really handled and rode tight. Was impressed. Got to do something with the exhaust though, really loud. The exhaust stopped short of the rear axle and with 3 inch size turbo flows it really reverated inside. I figure a couple hundred to convert to 2 1/2 inch all the way back. It ran really good and idled nice so the cam is a nice mild one. Looked a little closer at the rear wheel wells, owner said it looks they were cut to allow for bigger tires at one time, so will probably need some fixing of some sort. Also has a rachet style B & M shifter which was OK but not something an old guy like me would want to keep. But like I said was impressed with the ride and tightness of it, couldn't hear any rattles but with the exhaust so loud and my old ears, there might be some!
