Looking for a '68 or "69 Skylark or GS conv. or even GS Cali. What I am looking for is a complete car, mostly correct, just maybe needs a restoration, just don't want major holes in the body.
My friend has a 68 Skylark convertible he might be willing to let go, as well as a 69 GS hood. It's in TX, though....Dan
You interested if the quarters and floor need a little work? They're workable without replacement. Have 2 69 converts, 1 is complete and moves, but for parts,no title, the other is a clean shell with title. Asking 3500.00 for the pair
I'm working on that today, sent her to the store for batteries for the camera, thing eats 'em in minutes, should be on later this evening. Mike
Saw one at local car show Saturday night, grabbed his flyer. Didn't see or talk to owner but here's the info. 68 Skylark 2 dr post car, in primer, looked like no rust and pretty straight. http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/car/431484242.html 1968 Buick Skylark Convertible. Blue with white interiior. Has 71 350 4bbl and powerglide trans. Skirts, tilt steering, power brakes, steering and power top. This car has the GS-400 trim. Needs minor work. Very straight body. Paint about 6 years old, interior 15 years old. Excellent start to a classic restoration or drive as is. I have used it as a daily driver for 7 years and have had no issues. I will consider part trade for a economy car or truck, no junk. $8500.00 or reasonable offer. 360-471-9378 between 0800am and 1100pm.
Called the guy today, he's only a few miles away. Surprisingly it's a Buick engine! Rebuilt locally. I will go take a look see myself with my camera. It's raining (finally) today so will check on it sometime this week. Kind of interested myself, so will let you know how it turns out. By the way it is located down by Cincinnati. (Edit respelled Cincinnati - Geez)!
Thanks Roger, so your not real far, about a good days drive or day and a half. Chris, is that your car? Wouldn't be too bad.
Rain stopped, drove over and took a look. I liked it, pleasantly surprised by overall condition. Took one more pic of whole car but it got lost. Was getting dark. Solid trunk, floors. Interior looked good. Glass good. Didn' drive it but started it and sounded good. 3 inch exhaust was a tad loud for my taste. Might go back and drive later, would try to buy if I didn't have too many. Anyone want to buy my 79 Bonneville (38 k actual miles) The only bad spot was the lip on one wheel well. Outer surface was good and solid as well as rest of car. Has receipts for engine rebuild, cam came from TA Performance I noticed. Know of the local builder, can check out. Owner nice guy and we have some mutual car friends so I would have some confidence in him.
Looks like it has a Gs 350 interior? wouldn't be too bad, maybe even to make a california clone or something.
$6000 OBO, said he would take less but I didn't ask for lower number. I'm gonna have to go drive it, hope I don't like it!
