Guy, There's GOTTA be more pics of your car out there somewhere? Have you posted all you've got?? o No:
Everyone, You're welcome! It's my pleasure to be able to help in showing board members a little Buick history.....now, a couple questions..... Is this dealership the only one that raced these Gran Sports? What was the last year model car they may have raced? 71? Who was responsible for the tuning and all that jazz that went into keeping one of these cars consistant? o No: Oh yeah, by the way, Jungle Pam....nice boots!! :Brow: :Brow:
Brett- except for the more common ones of my car...that's all I have. Jim (Bell) says he was going to send me some, but I haven't seen anything yet. If or when I do, I'll post em. Guy
WildBill did you take all of these or do you have a link to somewhere else?? They are great picture of Hot Rodding history. If they came from your camara you need a book!!!!!!
The pictures came from a co-worker who went to the 1962 Nationals at Indianapolis. He was 16 at the time. He liked nailheads because his uncle hade one in a '56 F-100.These were all rubber banded together in a tattered envelope. He let me scan them in....i've had to re-size to fit so some of the detail is lost.HOT ROD magazie could print a few of these Peace WildBill
Baker Car! There was a blue G/SA car in Columbus last weekend for the NSCA World Finals. It had Dick Baker on the car. I went by a couple of times to see who was running it but no one was around the car. There might be a picture of it on the NSCA board, I will check or you can go to nsca-racing.com and click on the photo gallery for the Columbus race. JIm N. NSCA B/NSS 67 GS
From what I was told by John Csordas and Mark DeConti,Argo Buick(Bronx,NY) and Putnam Buick(can't remember where that is) used to run race Buicks. I'm sure there are other Buick dealers that got into the racing action-after all,it was race on Sunday, sell on Monday.
Jim N. Went to the NSCA board. Saw the pic of your 67 GS race car. Very nice!!!! Looks like you took a trophy to boot! How about posting a picture of it on the board? I love the name too. C'mon...fill us in on that awesome ride Jason
